Shocking customer experience from start to finish. Rude and abnoxus staff especially after we had completed and they had got their money. Constantly felt like they were working hard for the buyer but not for me the seller. They need to remember who pays their comission. Next time I will be going through an online estate agent so I can manage it myself so I get the best deal for me the seller not the buyer, not to mention saving a fortune in commission at the same time. Estate agents don't like the rise of online estate agents but we service like this they can't complain. If they want to stop customers going online they need to provide a service worthy of their commission. If not estate agents on the high street will be a thing of the past!!
Churchills was very enthusiastic initially, but then with fewer and fewer viewing appeared to lose interest. In retrospect I realise they could have suggested several things to make the flat more attractive, for example painting throughout and work on the shower and tiles. After 7 months I transferred to another agent which takes a more strategic approach, including suggesting the improvements described above.
After deciding to move out of our house in York, Kris (lettings) and Duncan (sales) did a great job in running through my options and how Bridgfords could help me. Been trying to contact bridgfords letting for over 24 hrs ( including leaving messages on the automated answering service but no one bothers to call back or reply to rightmove email enquiries) finally got through by calling direct lettings number I found on Internet, the property I was interested in had old photos re published and this has happened before with another house we were interested in. The photos were about 8 years old and totally differently to the house we viewed. I find that lazy and deceptive.
Enough said ( especially when you have took time out to drive out to a property to view disapounting) )

And although we only had a few communication exchanges, I was very happy with the service I received. If the legal process could have been as smooth, the purchase would have been a breeze!

booked a viewing but the agent never turned up. Not until I called them up they told me they have no keys? Such a waste of time!
