Well... what can i say that already hasn't been said in the reviews below. Myself and my partner was buying a home from cornerstones. The team and James in particular kept us updated all the time and helped us understand what the next steps were as we are first time buyers. We felt cornerstones were more beneficial to us than our mortgage adviser! Although Cornerstones were selling the property they still had our best interest at hearts and worked quickly to get things resolved. James worked exceptionally well, friendly and worked evenings and weekends to make sure everything was going ok. We are now in our home due to those reasons. Thank you for your support through the next chapter of our life... Nat and Chris
I would highly recommend James and the team at Cornerstone to anyone looking to buy or sell a house in Yorkshire. From my first interaction with James I felt he was someone with a passion for his job. He gave great advice on the market and also the best way to present the property in order to get the best results. I was kept informed all the way through the process as to what was happening. There were a few ups and downs but they were dealt with professionally and in an efficient way. An overall process of four months to get the house renovated and sold is a great result. Thanks for your help and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Cheers Sanj
Joanne was very efficient for all matters concerning this new letting. Really appreciate all the good work.
Fraudsters and shysters. Wish I could give zero stars. Took weeks just to get them to photocopy ID documents. Mortgage advisor lied every step of the way, wasted six weeks of my time and falsified documents. Complaints process pathetic, didn't address any comments I'd raised but sent a 20 page document which "answered" a million questions I didn't ask?
Walk down the street and pick one of the other estate agents on the same row. You can't do any worse than these incompetent morons.
I cannot speak too highly of the professional work and the personal support given to us during the sale of a house as executors of a will .
The whole team led by Cairn Morrison journeyed with us through many tricky moments culminating in a very satisfactory sale of the house.
They were at all times approachable, personable, quietly confident, well informed and efficient.
Once again - 'Thank you so much' Morley Reeds Rains'.
The ladies at reeds rains Morley are absolutely great! They’ve done nothing but help me with moving into my new flat! They are nice, friendly, approachable and want to fix any problems that they can!
However if you need anything fixing by the company, be prepared to wait 3+ weeks. It’s the longest wait I’ve ever had by any rental company. I went with reeds rains because they are a reputable company, but I’ve never had to fight so much to get a working kitchen tap and oven. Obviously not the fault of the ladies at reeds rains, but a fault for the company itself as they need to do better when dealing with maintenance reports.
I came to the UK with only 4 weeks to buy a house and thanks to the support from the staff at Manning Stainton i had found my perfect match within a week! I received regular updates and guidance through the process including good service after my offer had been accepted. Give them a try!
Lies and incompetence from almost each member of staff.
From initially being unable to spell our names right on contracts, to organising a open day on a bank holiday, to putting our property live on Rightmove etc.incomplete and removing for several days losing the new nature our listing and depriving us of valuable interest. On the back of that lying about knowing the cause. To accompanied viewers being unable to work out the keys, and parking in the drive which can fit 3 cars and blocking it preventing the viewer from parking and drawing attention to the narrow private street. Lying about what they would tell potential buyers, releasing info we were told wouldn't be released to buyers for example the minimum we would be prepared to accept. Not including all relevant materials in brochures, we printed specific items ourselves and left around the house. Basic agreements like no viewings between x and x were questioned. The move manager was non-existent promised updates never arrived. We had to do the chasing of our move manger who regularly mis-understood and at one point writing in a mail to us the complete opposite to what had happened. Allowing things to happen which were not allowed in their contract.
Manning Stanton increased our stress levels and needed to be actively managed and chased by us throughout. Terrible service, I won't be using them again.
The similarly worded 5 star google reviews from similar accounts appear to be a little suspicious, I would take these with a pinch of salt.
Whilst the individuals we’re really nice I didn’t get very many viewers. It might have been because my house had already been on the market with another agent but the launch days were anything but a success. They talked large numbers for viewings but in reality the numbers were disappointing. Better than previous agents but property not sold in 12 weeks and it’s in a good area at reasonable price.
