I lived over a decade in London and never once had to pay fees even half as high as these jokes. 200 quid or so I accepted as annoying but normal, these guys sting you for well over double that. What do you get for your money? Basically nothing. If the upstairs flat floods your entire living room, expect it to take about 6 months to sort out, with you doing most of the chasing. If the fire alarm randomly going off in the middle of the night, expect this to happen numerous times over several months before anybody bothers fixing it. Etc, etc. After this horrendously expensive registration and dismally appalling service, they then proceed to put the rent up, and tell you if you don't like it, they'll evict you. Impressive achievement here, they actually make Foxtons look desirable
Milli and the team have been brilliantly helpful, in securing us the perfect rental property. Milli was able to give me all the information about the property and has been really helpful in making arrangements with the furniture, white goods, moving in dates etc. Everything has happened so quickly and efficiently with what feels like minimal effort. I am glad to say, on this occasion I have no resentment about paying the agency fees (as sometimes I do) as they service has been provided with gold stars!
So I tried to arrange a viewing, when I checked on the day of the viewing the website said unavailable.. So I tried to call to find out what was going on (and also emailed) I was hung up on multiple times and their staff were unhelpful to say the least.
In my opinion If they can't arrange a simple viewing then they won't be able to manage their properties correctly.
I've recently rented a flat through Goodman & Lilley.
Claire has been nothing short of excellent. She responded quickly to my emails, helped greatly with all of my questions and concerns and got things done. Great customer service.

An horrendous experience selling our house, I would recommend avoiding using Goodman Lilley until they have got their act together.
We have been chasing them now for three months to push our sale through and still no light at the end of the tunnel.

I bought my first home though Ocean after moving from Greece where I didn't know much about the buying process. The team Stefano, Stefan, Tom and the Move Manager Abi helped with every step of the way. Very pleased with the personable service I received. Would recommend
Absolutely awful service!! The most terrible lawyers i have had to deal with EVER!! Basically they take your money and do the bare minimum to justify the extortionate prices they charge. Any questions i had, i was fobbed off, it took them a whole year to tell me that the money i was owed , wasn't owed to me at all and had been included in final invoice. This was after many phone calls, many visits to the office and finally, me threatening to take alternative legal advice! My advice would be to go elsewhere for your conveyancing, anywhere would be better than this bunch of incompetent idiots!
Also the actual estate agency side of this business is no better. They are all over you when they want your home to sell, and nowhere to be found when they have your property to sell! Do yourself a favour and find an estate agent who will actually do some work for the money!!
And note... They only respond to feedback that gives them praise, again, nowhere to be seen when they cause problems. Ocean Estate agents and Ocean Property Lawyers... YOU SUCK!!!
I previously used Hunter Leahy to let my property and also used them to sell it. I have always been pleased with the service and when I came to selling, I was even more impressed!
The team are very friendly, helpful and communicative. I spoke with Connor and Sarah more frequently and they were great!

I am £2000 out of pocket because I decided not to move myself and my belongings into one of their properties after I found that it was infested with live carpet moth larvae.
They were also happy to let the property whilst it had mould growing on the curtains, walls and carpet without sorting it out.
Whether you are a tenant or a landlord give yourself peace of mind and use any other reputable lettings agent in the area.
It is telling that they have chosen not to be part of a professional body such as ARLA or the NAEA.

Actually that's not fair, they're not masters of anything. Ocean believe it's perfectly acceptable to take a week to respond to an offer, slow and incompetent.
If your expectations are low, they'll probably be met!
