I've been using Haslams since 2003 to let out my flat in Reading, they have always provided a first rate service, are responsive to any queries and I am more than happy to highly recommend them. I have another property in Maidenhead managed by different agents (unfortunately Haslams don't cover Maidenhead) and the level of service doesn't come close to Haslams. They have a low staff turn-over (always a good sign!), thanks to Tina, Jenny and Ollie in particular :-)
They can be very helpful before we moved in. Their sales team are great. However, after we moved in, I can say it was a total nightmare. They rarely reply emails or when they did it takes more than 5 days. Do not mention the check out day, it was the worst part dealing with Haslams. Their clerk did not showed up at the property after we have had an appointment so I had to ring them. Their deposits procedure takes forever. I moved out 2 months ago and just got the monies back. Do expect some delays from this company. Disappointed and very unprofessional.
I recently sold my property through Village Properties. I was not living close to the property and Charlie & the team went above and beyond to help me on numerous things, I had some issues with the buyers - things were taking a long time and Sarahjane (administrator) helped me along every step of the way. I received a great service from all here and would certainly recommend them if you are looking to buy/ sell your property!

Reading letting office is very helpful. I dealt with Richard and Nicole, both were very good in guiding me through the process of my current letting.
I’ve been renting through Romans for 6 years and have just moved to another letting with them.
Property managers (both for my previous letting and my new one) are very friendly and easy to deal with.
Very disappointed with the lack of communication. Different people giving different information. One member of staff telling me everything that another member of staff had said to me was not correct and he was new so should have been giving out the information?? Not sure why he would be answering calls and giving answers if this was e case. Phone calls not returned and sometimes no return phone call just an email update. Being told I could leave my keys at the property once completed yet in fact they had to be handed over to the estate agent before funds could be released!! This left me running around at the last minute to get it all sorted. No one offered to go that extra mile!! Very disappointed would not use again to buy or sell. Talked the talk at the first ever meeting then once the sale was agreed everything went down hill.
I would like to say thanks to Angela. I have rented out my property with Parkers for 7 years. The first check out was faultless and 100% of the deposit was paid back. The second check out in Jan did not go well. There were items missing, the property was not returned to the same standard and items were excessively damaged, beyond wear and tear.
Angela organised the re-cleaning to a professional standard, a gardener to cut the grass and clear up the unattended borders and the replacement of broken items at the tenants expense.
The difficult task for Angela was liasing with the ex-tenant to agree damages. This is a difficult job balancing expectations of the owner and the tenant. Angela had to define what was fair wear and tear and what was damage and how this would be treated by the DPS. Luckily after several difficult calls the tenant agreed to the charges without having to go to the DPS.
I've never been so disappointed with a service as I am with Parkers. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. I'd give no stars if I could.
We recently bought our first house in Tilehurst. I must say that the staff was very friendly and helpful during the process.
They kept me updated on the matter in good time and were always ready to help me with whatever questions and/or issues I had during negotiations and soliciting period.
I am very pleased dealing with Simon and his staff and would certainly recommend this agency to my friends.

Poor service to say the least.
First things first I am quite happy to name drop a Mr Simon Gregory for having a terribly unprofessional and sarcastic attitude - I'd say he needs a serious review by his seniors and some training on how to do his job.
After being accepted on a property from there on it was all under Parkers terms to suit their needs and their needs only. They tried extremely hard to rush the sale of the property where I hadn't even had a chance to book a survey in!
Simple questions I had about the property which should have been communicated from Parkers to the Vendor were complexly ignored leaving me none the wiser.
Parkers were also quick to get into contact with my solicitors even after I had asked them to hold off a week in doing so (which I got charged for thank you very much) it clearly wasn't a priority for them for me to even be able to arrange a survey for a house I was buying?!
Commission chasers and poor salesmanship, sheer lack of any understanding of decent customer service.
Resulted in myself withdrawing from the sale which I'm sure left a very unhappy vendor!
Excellent Customer Service. I had the pleasure of dealing with Ross Hobbs, he was extremely helpful, positive and efficient. I would highly recommend the Reading Prospect Branch to all family and friends. I feel Ross worked very closely with my solicitor in order to achieve exchange and completion as quickly as possible. NO SHOW!! on an arranged viewing Totally disgraceful. AVOID!
Had booked in a viewing for with "Ryan" Q2 1bed flat for 12:00 30/09 Reading
11:50 arrived 10 min early, no one at the buzzer.
12:10 call received that "Josh would be there in a moment"
12:20 called again and was informed by "Ben" that Josh was inside and he would come down (complete lie)
12:30 called to say I'm leaving..And that they missed a solid buyer...
Total of 1 hour wasted.....disgraceful!!
This is no way to conduct viewings or serious buyers.. Totally bad service and even if I liked it I would have been put off by
Prospect management you need to avoid scenarios like this farce today....
Please speak to "Ben & Josh".. to see how they can improve and avoid...
