We have both sold and bought through Knight Frank Bath. They are very professional, straight forward and honest. They give you really good advice and know the market very well. They provided regular updates of progress and status. Always there when you needed it and responded very quickly to requests etc. Not pompous like some and much more realistic about values (buying and selling) than many. Hopefully won't need to use them for a good few years but heartily recommend them.
I have recently purchased a house 12 miles south of Bath through Knight Frank's Bath office. The viewings were arranged at short notice because we were coming a long way and the viewing staff could not have been more accommodating and were very well briefed. We had difficulties with our purchaser and Knight Frank were very helpful in keeping our vendor informed and on side. The brochure about the house we have bought was beautifully produced. Knight Frank acted most definitely in their client's interests but were very supportive of us as well.
Fidelis were recommended to us by a friend and we soon found out why, as right from the beginning of the process, we had lots of viewings which were organised so as to minimise any disruption to us and our dog. Mark then kept us fully informed all the way through and when we encountered some major glitches close to the completion date he managed to save the day when other estate agents would have given up! Highly recommended!!!
Really great experience from start to finish. Very friendly and professional throughout. We completed last week and was relatively painless in no small part due to mark being on the case with all other parties involved and helping speed the process along. Would happily go with them again
We felt that Glenn and his team understood the local rental market inside out. They gave us accurate information, didn't 'oversell', followed up on everything thoroughly and found us a tenant who is still in residence over a year later. We would definitely go to this team again.
Hilariously incompetent and a nightmare to deal with.
A few examples of things we had to deal with over the two year tenancy:
-took 19 months to fix a broken window
-repeatedly sent emails to the wrong people, including to people who did not live at the property
-lost payments we made which took months to sort out
-failed to do anything after multiple complaints about the landlord letting himself into the property unannounced
-removed items of furniture from the property mid-tenancy without warning
-failed to properly maintain the heating and radiators
Special mention to their organisation system for looking after keys, which consists of 50odd keys on the same keychain and individually checking them against another to find the correct one.
I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with Georgina from the Hamptons property management team over the last 6 months and have been blown away by her professionalism. I cannot recommend Hamptons enough, I was told to expect the exceptional and that’s exactly what I have received. 10/10
We were very impressed with the diligence and professionalism that Sam Daniels exhibited in all areas of our purchase. He was so good in that he always replied promptly to any enquiries and took great trouble to find the answers we needed. We would thoroughly recommend Sam Daniels to anyone.
I had no idea how difficult and soul destroying finding a property in Bath for my daughter to rent would be and had almost given up hope when I contacted Denise at Winkworths. She was sympathetic to my predicament, extremely knowledgeable, very patient and incredibly kind. Even though there were no houses available that met my brief, some quick lateral thinking led to her putting in a call to a landlady who might be able to help. Less than half an hour after my initial call, she came back to me and offered us a viewing. I am certain this was entirely down to the strong and trusted relationship Denise had with her client. Three days later she showed my daughter the property and patiently guided the girls through the letting process. I would not hesitate to recommend Denise to anyone looking to rent in Bath and if I was a property owner seeking to let my property, I would place it with Winkworth in Bath. The service has been sleek, efficient, warm and professional. Thank-you.
The letting process was as fast and easy as possible with the agency showing great flexibility. Although the reactivity in respect to action required in the flat during the first weeks of tenancy was not entirely in line with our expectations, everything went back to normal and even high standard as soon as Denise joined the team and tackled the issues. She was of great help until the end of tenancy which she made smooth and easy beyond expectations. Definitely a friendly and efficient 5* lettings manager.
Having dealt with the apartment company for our first time renting, we were made to feel welcome and important. Daniel Hester was very informative and professional. Would recommend using them if your interested in premium apartments in Bath.
I have rented property twice in bath and once in London over the last 4 years and I can happily say that The Apartment Company are the worst agency I have dealt with.
From the very first time we contacted them they were rude to us, even tried to cancel our viewing with them last minute.
Once our tenancy ended the agency and landlord took 7 weeks to get back to us regarding the deposit. During this time they were incredibly rude to us and kept saying that they were carefully deciding on the proposed deductions and we would have them by the end of the week. This happened every week until they stopped replying to us.
They then tried to take over 1300 of the 1800 pound deposit we put down of which almost 500 pounds was for cleaning (by the way this is a tiny 3 bedroom UNFURNISHED apartment).
We appealed and decided to go through an independent review with DPS. After the review was completed we ended up with 1000+ pounds of our deposit back (as opposed to less than 500, which the agency / landlord originally decided on). They had claimed over 100 pounds for removal of rubbish and broken glass OUTSIDE the property of which they provided no evidence of this, apart from a photo of a fold up chair dated 9 days after the checkout.
To get the deposit deduction so wrong after they spent weeks carefully preparing them is unacceptable.
I would not recommend The Apartment Company to anyone.
