10th Oct 2024 (15 weeks ago)Spoke to a lady today about renting a house. She basically told me that it's a 'professional property' and that you have to work 'atleast 30 hours a week' in order to rent the property. Very discriminative attitude against those that work less hours or are on benefits, even if they can afford the rent. I was very surprised by this attitude, especially as it was coming from a 'family run business' that is supposed to 'offer a simple, transparent and ethical service'. Discrimination doesn't sound very ethical to me.

This was our first experience of selling a property and right from the initial valuation visit by Scott to the final completion, the staff were wonderful, guiding us every step of the way. Nothing was too much trouble and they patiently helped us through each stage. We felt that we mattered to them and were more than just a customer. In particular, Dawn , the branch manager spent hours helping us with forms and constantly kept in touch to let us know how things were progressing. We will be forever grateful to Dawn and the rest of the Hillsborough team for their care and support.

I urge them to pick up voice mails and respond to emails in a timely manner. The team (especially Nichola, Erin and Joe) were great from start to finish, keeping us up to date with how both were progressing again and supporting us to make the move as smooth and as stress-free as possible!- 1st Jan 2025 (23 days ago)After several viewing not showing which wouldn't happen if the Estate Agent maybe confirmed in person the day before with viewers. Then when you get contacted by Facebook from a potential buyer who has asked WH Brown to view it over a week ago and did not get rang back by Brown's. What am I paying them to do !!!

18th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
7th May 2024 (8 mo. ago)I had a pleasant stay throughout the year and 6 months plus,from the moment I stepped in their offices I met one agent namely muktah,he was very helpful,a very kind man who knows how to communicate with people,if u have issues he will always be there to help,in life u can never predict ur future,sometimes u hit rock bottom and if u don't have an agent who undestands your struggles you'll definitely have a rough time in the property,i recommend Hallam Hills to a friend whose looking for a place to stay,ask for muktah when u step in their offices you'll never regret it,he's the best of the best ????.
