I would like to give Howkins & Harrison (Northampton, Bridge Street Branch) a 5* review and in particular Jamie for his assistance.
We are first time buyers and the process with H & H has been excellent and we have been well informed along the process.
My first and last time using this agency. I've been for the first time to see a house for letting with them and had the worst experience. Me and my partner been the first ones to see the house, but after us was another couple. Later that day, the agent told me that the other couple paid for the holding deposit and he told me that they will give us the chance to pay also for the holding deposit. The second day I've been to the office at 9am to pay for the holding deposit and they have told me that the house is gone. And now the house is advertised on the market "LET ON 1ST VIEWING", but that's not true. That's a false advertising just to make people think that their agency is the best one, but cheating not gonna make the best agency.
Great service arguably the best mortgage advisor in Northamptonshire
I have used a lot of brokers however Steven Rowley at William h Brown is by far the best broker. Very efficient quick and effective.
Wealth of experience Thank you Steve
Worst letting agency ever - avoid!
Incompetent and impolite, no customer service. They want something, it has to happen ASAP. You have an issue - well good luck - be prepared to chase this for weeks until you sort it out yourself in the end.
With Evie's and Darren's help, me and my family rented a gorgeous place that now we call home. Evie's the most patient agent ever. I highly recommend her services when it comes to renting.
This agency is the worst I ever dealt with. At the moment of moving into the house it was not ready. Inventory which was charged additionally is just waste of paper and my money, as it collected useless photos but room description does not match reality (two different rooms with identical description, which is just copped and pasted) and nothing says about broken bits, dust, spider webs and dog fur everywhere. During whole letting process we were supposed to force agent to do his job, such as contract and payments. Agency is focused just on getting commission and does not care about property quality. And also letting agreement was made about a month ago, but property is still available for viewings, today I phoned them to ask to remove property from web site. Their work is unprofessional, they are happy to take money and do nothing. I will avoid this scammers in the future.
From the first phone call to the completion, the team at Jackson Grundy were great. They kept us updated throughout the process. Thank you JG!
Their Mortgage advisor leaves and no one bothers to let his customers know!!! We are now left paying a £300 increase in our mortgage as no one had processed our mortgage in his absence from a month ago!!!!
After reading reviews from previous tenants, I should not have gone through with renting a flat with Richard Greener, as my experience sounds very similar!
Firstly, the staff were not very friendly. They did not make me feel welcome and did not seem to be concerned when I was reporting issues with the flat. From the day I moved in there were many issues. I reported these many times and the staff made comments such as 'it was fine when I went in last week', instead of being helpful and reassuring. Many issues were never resolved even after many emails. Some issues were only sorted after I explained I could no longer live there and was moving out. At times the staff have been rude and condescending.
Nevertheless, my worst experience came when I I moved out. After two days of cleaning with my parents the flat was left in a far better state than when I moved in. I received an email from Richard Greener saying thank you for leaving the flat clean and tidy. However they still continued to take £90 of my deposit for 'cobwebs' and 'dusty lampshades'. They said I could return to the property to sort this out but it would cost £35 for a re-inspection fee. This is crazy considering the estate agents is only a five minute walk from the property. I feel they went in to the property determined to find something to charge me for, as there was nothing worth £90 that needed sorting out.
I will never be using Richard Greener again and I would strongly advise renting a property with them.
Unit 20, Weston Favell Shopping Centre, Northampton
Bought our first house with them and I couldn't be happier with the professional service provided. Good communication between us by email and phone, very friendly and responsive. Kept us up to date throughout the process which lasted less than 2 months. Would definitely recommend if you want to buy or sell.
Never ever buy or sell property with this agent..they will say all lies and make customer to trust them..very very bad experiences i had..please please no no no .
