We viewed several houses with Pegg Estates and at first we thought they were very professional that was however until we offered on a property only to find out from the seller themselves that there had been subsidence (granted work had been undertaken ) given that it can increase your home insurance premium by around £5000 and buying a house is one if the biggest purchases you'll make in your life we felt this was a massive oversight and sign of unprofessionalism on the part of Pegg Estates.
When we told them we would be withdrawing our offer and not making a further increase we were met with nothing but negativity and told that we were being overcautoous and it was nothing to be concerned about and that we should be making a higher offer.
It was again made clear we would not be perusing the property any further as they had told us we couldn't see proof of works etc until completion of sale, a risk we weren't willing to take. Their response to this was rather unprofessional and I won't be repeating it.

This company did not keep in contact with me hardly at all, they are all for the buyer of the property, getting the price down way beyond that you can afford, they gave the keys to our buyers when we had not completed , leaving me stranded and homeless with 2 dogs and a cat. I am a disabled pensioner and had travelled 7 hours in a taxi to my new home, My removal people"Devon Space and Time(who by the way were absolutely brilliant , were there when I arrived and explained the sellers of my new house were still living there, I had my solicitor saying move in and the sellers solicitor saying to stay there as it is still theirs, all my furniture had to go back to Devon, 2 lorry loads, and I had to pay for it to be taken there again 3 days later, all this should have been avoided, apparently if one part of the chain doesn't complete, the whole chain doesn't, so Pegg Estates should not have given my buyers the keys to my house, leaving me nowhere to go.
UPDATE
STILL NO APOLOGY AND I FIND OUT HE HAS BEEN PAID Estate Agent Commission £ 3,374.40... Read more
