Lovett International - Bournemouth

716 Christchurch Road

After being let down by another estate agent and frustrated with set-backs in trying to sell our beautiful flat by the sea, we went to Lovett Bournemouth Branch for a fresh start. They have been very enthusiastic from the start in relisting our property in a short space of time and with great quality. Throughout the process, I have been kept well in the loop on a regular basis with what was happening with the sale progression and situation with the rest of the chain. I want to especially thank James, for taking care of the viewings side of things, David and Julian, who took care of the sales progression. I felt they are very professional and knowledgeable and would recommend them, as well as Lovett in general, as a reliable and trustworthy estate agent to take care of the sale of your property.

They never reply my emails unless it's for their convenience. It was added in my tenancy agreement that nobody will visit the property without my permission and they tried it a few times. Even after we made a lot of complaints about it, there was once that we found one employee inside our home! The guy didn't even apologised properly for it... It's not possible to trust them...

Frost & Co - Bournemouth

20 Poole Hill, Bournemouth

I would like to thank Antonia and the rest of the team at Bournemouth for how well they have treated. I was a buyer. Unfortunately, the purchase fell through and I moved on. However, Frost and Co were fantastic throughout, keeping me up to date and were happy to explain everything in terms I understood. I did not realise quite how good their service was until I compared it to the service I am currently receiving from an alternative Estate Agent. Frost and Co were kind and treated me with respect, which is very much appreciated by a first time buyer. I have already decided that if and when the time comes to sell my flat in the future, I will approach them first. Thanks again Antonia and team :)

Natalie Hill

During tenancy, Frosts were great - always addressed any problems I had quickly and efficiently. However, when it came to the end of the tenancy, they are shocking. As with many letting agents, they held on to my deposit for as long as humanly possible, breaking their own set dates for check-out reviews procedures. (In total, I was left waiting six weeks for a deposit refund, and that's after repeatedly chasing them up.) Their reasons for deductions from the deposit border on the hilarious - further cleaning of the flat was deemed necessary due to 'dust on entry phone' and 'food left in fridge' along with 'replacement light bulbs'. I was often left waiting for days on end for a response to e-mails and enquiries. Frosts are of course, not alone in this kind of behaviour, but any potential tenants beware - they will attempt to squeeze every penny from you. Forensically catalogue and photograph any property you rent from them, you will definitely need the evidence when it comes to move out...

Slades Estate Agents - Southbourne Sales

51 Southbourne Grove, Southbourne

I don't often leave a lot of reviews for companies but felt compelled to do so following my service from Slades in Southbourne and in particular Mark Anderson. I've been looking for a property now for the last three months and although sadly the property we have decided to go for wasn't through Slades, it wasn't through lack of trying on his behalf. Out of the 20 odd agents we initially registered our details with, they were the only ones with constant texts and calls the second they had a new property avalible and the viewings could subsequently be arranged almost immediately. I viewed, I think from memory 4+ properties with Slades and Mark in total and his passion and professionalism shone on all the viewings and not once did we feel like anything was too much and we were being a pain. The only down side to all this being was that as I say, the property we decided upon wasn't listed with them. I would have no question using them for sales or lettings in the future and as with this review couldn't recommend them and in particular Mark anymore. Thanks for all you help guys and good luck and best wishes for the future!!

Just a word of caution and I wouldn't normally do this but I am so upset by what has happened. We are looking for 2/3 bed house, and we have been open and honest with Agents what our circumstances are and why we are moving. We received a text from Slades in Bournemouth and arranged a viewing after checking we definitely would be what the Landlord would be looking for in Tenants. I also said if anything changed please could they tell me as we are currently in Reading some 100 odd miles away so getting down to the area is a costly mission of trains, buses and cabs. My partner has gone down as arranged this morning- we had been due to view yesterday but they cancelled due to a mix up with the tenant.Partner gets there on time, well on time in fact. They tenant opens the door and tells him all the viewings are done for today. So I phoned them and spoke to Mark at Slades who was exceptionally rude and denied the viewing was today- like I'm going to book something and then let my partner travel down all that way and at that cost for the wrong day. Then he said it was pointless as the Landlord wont take us due to having two children! He was very dismissive, very rude and I am utterly heartbroken. We are living in an awful area at the moment where we've had to move our children out of their school due to appallingly bad bullying, he has work to start as soon as we arrive and Slades have just cost us time, money and caused upset to us by being so rude as to book us in and then mess us around. His attitude was he didn't book it so it wasn't his problem.I doubt very much he would have been promoting us to the owner either but I bet he would have taken a holding fee though. Just avoid them at all costs.

Churchfield Estate Agents - Bournemouth

122 Charminster Road,Bournemouth

I must say that from all my experiences with some estate agency, Churchfield is one of the best so far .Very friendly people and they allweys respond for your needs. Thank you so much for everything

Valentin Gavril

I have dealt with a number of Estate Agents over the years. Ian is the best by far. He has just helped us through a difficult and protracted sale, going above and beyond on many occasions to achieve the result, and his experienced and fair advice were spot on from start to finish. I can't recommend him highly enough.

lovetts have shown a lack of commitment to their responsibilities as both letting agents and Freeholders.Their response to a violent, addicted tenant has been appalling. They have left people who bought Leasehold flats from them to suffer from lack of due diligence when renting their own flat in the same property. Do not trust them as letting agents!

GetAgent makes finding an estate agent easier.

Very helpful in arranging for 3 agents to come around and put their pitch for marketing our property. Having them as an intermediary made the process...

A very good comparison website

A very good comparison website for checking local estate agencies. We used it to check who have sold the most in our area and the results were very useful to us.
