Slater Hogg & Howison - Shawlands

255-257 Kilmarnock Road

Came here for mortgage advice as I had heard good things. They did not disappoint. I had some credit issues with my address being in the wrong order, this severely complicated me being able to apply for a mortgage. Scott Malcomson did everything in his power to help me with this, and in the end, I now own my dream flat! Going from not knowing anything to being a home owner is a daunting prospect, Scott and Slater Hogg made this process very educational, easy and dealt with me in a professional manner. I would recommend Scott and the rest of the team at Slater Hogg and Howison Shawlands to anyone looking for mortgage advice.

Unreliable and unprofessional. Whilst looking for a buy to let property I booked a viewing over the the phone for a flat for sale through the Shawlands office. I drove 50 miles to Glasgow, on a week-end, to view said flat. The agent didn't show at the property, so I was not able to view it. Total waste of time and wasted opportunity for the seller and the buyer. Being Saturday no-one answered the phone at the office. I did leave a a message, but never received a reply let alone an apologie.

Allen & Harris - Rutherglen (Glasgow)

240 Stonelaw Road, Rutherglen

We recently sold our property with allen & Harris. We dealt with Lynn and Pamela who were both professional, friendly and very helpful. They were always willing and able to answer any questions and alleviate any concerns we may have had, understanding that selling a property can be extremely stressful. We were both happy and satisfied with the service provided to us. Joe and Brenda Carroll ????

Currently in the process of buying a house through this estate agents. Communication has been abominable, that’s if they eventually answer the phone. They state they will call you back and never do. The seller of the house wasn’t overly impressed as it took a good while to put a for sale sign up and needed to get on at them. My dealing with this company have been extremely poor, Stewart in particular as his attitude is abrupt and unhelpful and to top it off he hung up the phone on me. I do not recommend this company as a buyer or a seller.

Walker Wylie Estate Agents - Glasgow

148 Queens Drive, Glasgow

From the start of the sales process to the end Walker Wylie delivered a highly professional service, achieving a result that, I believe, couldn’t have been bettered. At all times they gave me confidence that they were delivering the best possible service and at a price that was substantially lower than what I’d have been charged by a high street agent.

An excellent, personable service. I found the Agency very professional, friendly and easy to work with. I would have no hesitation in recommending Walker Wylie.

The Estate Agency Company

20-23 Woodside Place Glasgow

Had easy and pleasant experience in sale of my house in Letham Grange. Robert Forrester was very helpful made you feel relaxed which would normally be a stressful time. Was at the end of the phone when I had any queries and resolved them quickly. Would 100% recommend

I have recently attempted to buy a property marketed by this company. The way, the company, and Lewis Murphy have conducted business and treated myself has been completely unethical and unprofessional. I had my offer accepted verbally yesterday morning with it also being submitted in writing by my solicitor. I have now been told today that they have now received and accepted another offer on the property. Because it was only a verbal acceptance I cannot do anything but this is simply not how you conduct business and the correct thing to do after accepting my offer would be to mark it under offer and not entertain any further offers for the property. The way I have been treated is terrible and I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am gutted and I hope that no-one else has to go through this experience.

Equal pay ! Selling your clients down the river for a 20% cut of money due to them from government miss management on there equal payouts , claiming the best you can do is the offer on the table , GMB union and other private owned solicitors was able to get both claims settled , hmm , so how you warrant a top rating for a top legal firm , when you can't complete both settlements, and others can ? , no star rate !

Fineholm - Glasgow

114 Union St, Glasgow

The most helpful agency in Scotland. Taryn is such a great person and he is always super quick and helpful with our enquiries. He always answer to my emails in no time and he comes with a solution the same day! I couldn't honestly recommend any agency more. Thank you so much for everything!!!

I have rented 2 properties let by Fineholm in Glasgow and even though the properties were lovely the agency is at least horrendous. First of all, I have been waiting for 5 weeks (yes correct 5 weeks) to get a mailbox key for my flat. I have no idea how the landlord didn’t have a key and how the agency has taken so long to sort such a simple issue. It was honestly so unprofessional from their side to deal with it as they did and to over complicate things while we are literally speaking for a mailbox key. In addition, I asked 3-4 times what council tax band my latest flat was falling under and they kept saying that the band was B. Surprisingly I received a council tax bill relating to council tax band D and guess what - they had no clue that the council tax was band D rather than B. When I mentioned that wrong information published online and clarified to me, I enquired for a reduction in the rent which obviously never happened. To top this up, just before moving to the flat I was informed that some light bulbs are not working and will not be replaced (???) and upon leaving the flat I was enquired by Fineholm to replace ALL light bulbs, are you kidding me? If it wasn’t for these lovely properties that they were renting I would for sure try to avoid renting from them. I guess the landlords don’t have too many agency options in Glasgow but the service is literally horrendous and the people very very unprofessional.
