I have just completed a purchase of a property managed by key letting for the Vendor. From the outset Key Letting frustrated the process by advising the Vendor to delay giving notice to Tenants, until the chain had progressed, which caused all manner of issues and nearly cost the Vendor the Sale of his property due to the Damage, Rubbish and Filthy condition it was left in after the Tenants vacated. The Chain or Sale can fail at any point during the selling/buying process, this was bad advice as it didn't give the Landlord any time to address issues and rectify them. They failed in their duties to inspect the property at regular intervals blaming the Tenants for not allowing them access, it should have been followed up and insisted on. Had this been done and had they acted professionally with due dilligence. The Vendor would not have faced hefty Repair & Cleaning bills, he would also not have had to substantially reduce the asking price to reflect the condition the house was vandalised and allowed to deteriorate to by not keeping on top of things and ensuring Tenants respected the property, kept it clean & well maintained. On visiting this business to return keys, I attempted to discuss these issues & concerns with staff, but it was very apparent they were not in the slightest bit interested, behaved in a very Ignorant, Arrogant and Rude manner by not even maintaing eye contact and abruptly ceasing any discussion. I left as I could see it was futile trying to reason with unreasonable people. They've lost their income from managing this property, so not remotely interested in your problems associated with buying it, which were partly created by them. So if you are a Landlord thinking of trusting your investment to this business, I'd think again and recommend you choose a competent agent with a conscience. If you are buying a house managed by this company, please allow extra time to inspect the property before completing, and ensure any repairs promised are actually carried out, and to an acceptable standard too. Whatever promises are made will soon fade after monies and contracts are exchanged. Then the Tumbleweeds will appear. Landlords & Buyers beware! True story and an accurate reflection of my experience. Don't say you were not warned. If you think this Review is bad, you should see the photos to back it up. Yes, I have lots and each will do a better job of painting the picture. I have briefly drawn a Sketch. Update 20th June 2023. Further to your response. I would make the following observations & points. The landlord lived in Australia and had he seen the property in person rather than rely on your infrequent inspections, he would have been horrified at the way the property was left to deteriorate, it didn't happen over night. It was along period of neglect and should have been nipped in the bud early. By your own admission you failed to inspect regularly as you report the Tenants always had a reason to defer inspections, so quite different to your account here. The "Whopping" £10K rediction you mention doesn't even begin to cover the damages & neglect in addressing the issues caused and you are blissfully ignorant of todays costs of materials and labour. I have had my own business for the last 34 years in the Property. After your clean up, your operatives had to go back again to do the job they were sent to do and it removed the top layer of dirt and rubbish. I disposed of some myself and cleaned up. I then paid a "Professional" to clean thoroughly. His words were "I've been doing this job now for 10 years, this is the worst property we've had to clean up". So I guess your standards are quite different to mine and theirs. It's now on track to be a house before the tenants moved in. As for I should be speaking to the Selling Agents, they were the very same people that informed the Landlord had taken advice from his Letting Agent and advised not to give Tenants notice until the chain had progressed, strange how that differes from how you recall matters. The property was also unsafe with Electrical problems.... Read more

Very good knowledgeable staff. All very pleasant. The first time I walked into their office, I knew they were the right agents for my property. They're also exceptional agents in finding the right tenants for me in Rainhill. In almost twelve years of using Key Lettings as my agents, I've never had any issues with them, and they are always very helpful.... Read more

Moving house is always really stressful but i cant thank the lady's at keyletting enough after being with a very large renting company for 3 years and having ring all the time to get repairs done and getting threats and harassment off them. i cant start to tell you what a breath of fresh air it is with keylettings any repairs that needed doing they have done within the first weeks of living in the house. they let you know whats going on so your not in the dark. there are very friendly and i really cant recommend them enough there fees are a great price half of what bigger letting agents charge. so once again lady's thank you so much for making this such a stress free rent....
