My experience with Connell & McFadden was excellent from start to finish. We rented 2 apartments with them over 4 years in Edinburgh and I could not fault their dedication and excellent work. Any maintenance issues or queries we had were dealt with quickly and professionally. Connell & McFadden were the letting agent for our rented flat for almost three years until we bought a place of our own - as a final experience with renting goes, it could not have been better. Connell & McFadden went the extra mile numerous times for us, and took a genuine interest in our well-being that was unlike any previous experience we'd had with an agency. The usual pitfalls of renting - a yearly rent increase arriving like clockwork, repairs going undone or put off, unannounced inspections - were nowhere to be found with these guys; just professional, caring people that helped whenever we asked. Connell & McFadden have been managing our flat for 1 year and have overseen two separate tenancy lets. The entire process has been handled professionally and any questions we had were answered quickly. It has a been a really positive experience for us as first-time landlords and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Connell & McFadden to others. In particular, Giverny, the Lettings Manager, has been excellent throughout in managing any issues in the flat and keeping us informed regarding viewings and general tenancy processes.... Read more

"Myself and my partner have been tenants in a flat managed by Connell McFadden for 2 years and have just moved out. Our initial impressions of the company were great. Their communication was good and although it took some time to fix issues we raised, we were ultimately happy with the service we'd received from them. This was up until we moved out and received a £140 cleaning fee. We disputed this with Giverny who was very helpful and responded whilst on annual leave (outstanding customer service). She understood our concerns and cancelled the cleaning fee and mentioned that she will be investigating the invoices sent by end-of-tenancy cleaners to ensure that this doesn't happen to any other Connell McFadden tenants. Great service and would highly recommend.... Read more

We are new Landlords and have felt very much supported by Connell and McFadden. We met with them before we had purchased a flat and they gave good advice and information about what being a Landlord entails and good areas to consider for rentals. They really do help you make the most of your property with tips, hints and practical support to get the flat let at the best price. We've used Connell McFadden for over three years to look after our rental properties in Edinburgh and we continue to be very impressed with them. They are a "one stop shop" for us as they look after the lettings, any issues during the lettings and any upgrades we require between tenants. Whilst they are a smaller company they are very, very professional and we know and trust all the staff and they know us and, importantly, they know our properties so there is no going all round the office trying to find someone who might be able to help like you might find with some big agencies. And they are very friendly as well!!!... Read more
