As the owners for the development, Barrat homes does a good job with maintenance and overall caring for the public areas. There are new developments going on which should bring more investment to the area. The only downside is the lack of a secondary entrance which could become a challenge sometimes.... Read more

We like the house but the Draconian and unreasonable parking restrictions are spoiling our quality of life. There is no parking allowed at any time on the roads and the lay-by's are often full especially at weekends and at night. There is no visitor parking as such and using the park-and-ride for visitors, as suggested, is not a reasonable option. I find I cannot entertain my friends as I would like and this is affecting my quality of life. There is a fine of £60 for parking in an unapproved place even if it is off the road. This level of fine is also unreasonable. ... Read more

Do not buy a property on this development. They act nice and professionally until they sell all the houses in the street. They then employ a private parking ticket agency and put up parking restrictions months later on the streets which state 'no parking or waiting' 24 hours a day and issue parking tickets that are £100 per ticket. That's fine but when they only allocate one space per house its ridiculous. Barratt Homes are money grabbing and do not care what happens after they sell you the house. Never seen anything like it, it's outrageous. There is no other parking anywhere near trumpington meadows without a 10 minute walk. Barratt homes take a cut and make a profit on every ticket issued to residents. They have told me in writing that they have no plans to lift any of these parking restrictions!
Look down the road at the other new development, very similar but no money grabbing parking.... Read more
