Bought a spear and Jackson lawnmower last year, had to return it as it was faulty to get it replaced but I didn't have my email receipt but I had my Argos account at hand on my phone but the manager of the store made me feel like I was a criminal, she made me feel very unwelcome, surely someone in that position should be helpful and maybe apologetic towards me after spending £250 on the mower for it to breakdown, not a nice experience and hope I don't have to go to that store again... Typical Argos selling all types of household goods, toys, jewellery and so much more at reasonable prices. The shop works on a catalogue system which you can obtain from the shop and look through at your leisure or browse through at the shop. Staff I find are always friendly and helpful... Read more

Order a mattress topper on Friday to be delivered to my house Saturday between 7 and 10 did not arrive so i rang to see were it was at 11.30pm and it had not even been despatch yet, then they said it will delieved between 1 & 6 after i had wasted all morning waiting for it to believed. Its an Argos, No Not the Greek city but the shop! But Its fine, honestly we all have to occasionally! The service is geared up around speed and is never going to major on customer service, the new refits mean the shops are bright and engaging and the service is all about click and collect now - you wont spend long browsing in there. The staff are efficient and pleasant and the wait time from paying to collection is pretty quick and has always been far quicker than the receipt estimates. I also think the prices are as competitive as they have ever been, but I guess if like me you order online to collect amazon is but a click away to compare they would have to be.... Read more
