Avoid this Building society. It took over a month for them to open an ISA transfer, with numerous problems. Their customer service is based in INDIA and they do not always speak good English. Utterly useless complaints process also. Don't go near them even though their interest rates look good and they pretend to be a friendly local UK based building society.
4th September- Kent Reliance reply to this review, however the ISA is still not resolved (applied for on 18th July) nor has their complaints team been in touch. I think that says it all.... Read more

Need to move my payment due date by 1 day, instead of the 31st... The 1st. And they just cannot fathom it. My payday is the 1st, the financial advisor set the 1st as the payment due date... But they just refuse to move it, so now I am constantly 1 month in arrears because of paying 1 day later and them refusing to adjust the due date by 1 day. It's enough to drive you mad.... Read more

So, you have got a high interest rate on your Easy Access Cash ISA. However in applying online, you are unable to identify me...I must be amounst the easiest of people to identify, never had an issue at all. THEN, you require me to send in a HARD COPY of my back statement within 7 days or my application will be cancelled.
Honesty!? This is how we were doing this in the 1990's have you not evolved at all?? It absolutely is not a legal requirement to have paper! Ever heard of Adobe?????!! Dear Lord. You offer a good rate but I have absolutely no confidence in your competence and credibility if this is how you operate! Now looking for an other option avoiding a business that must also be using a abacus for their cheques & balances.... WAKE UP!... Read more

Relating to this branch:
You have to knock the door to get in, and it is locked behind you.
You are then sat in the front by the windows. There are four seats with people working there but you don't get taken to them. You are left sat at a coffee table fiddling around for paperwork, sometimes for matters you'd rather deal with in private.
The KRBS website says there is a private area here - I couldn't see it and was not shown to it.
I don't think I saw a single smile from anyone in here while I was being dealt with.
As for the company itself, no longer a building society but a trading name of One Savings Bank. Difficult to talk to on the phone because of the "language and accent barrier". Issues with closing an account; a pity as the products and rates are usually fairly good.... Read more
