29th May 2026 (12 days ago)Our house had been on the market for a number of months with another agent before I did some further research and decided to go with Avenue Estates. With the previous estate agent, we often felt like just another number on their books. Viewings were very slow, and we didn’t feel we received well-rounded or particularly helpful feedback afterwards. After several months, I decided to look for another agent. Our experience with Dominic from Avenue Estates was completely different. His communication was consistently excellent, and he kept us updated throughout the entire process. He secured a much steadier flow of viewings and was always thoughtful with timings, understanding that we had young children and were often working from home. He would send feedback almost immediately after each viewing, and it was always exceptionally thorough, which we really appreciated. Towards the end of the process, there were a number of issues involving the sellers’ solicitors, but Dominic maintained excellent communication between ourselves, the buyers, the sellers, and the solicitors. He made what could have been a very stressful situation feel far more manageable. I’ve already recommended Dominic to others I know who are planning to sell, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him again.

Paul Vincent was very quick to respond to calls and emails, and provided me with all the information I asked for. Josh was also great for showing me around the property whenever I requested it and for giving me information during the viewing, while allowing me the freedom to browse as long as I needed.
26th May 2026 (15 days ago)Avoid. If you wish to purchase, the agency is at the service of the seller, never the buyer. All financial shenanigans are permitted to satisfy the seller. They rent out flats with photos that are 10 years old! The rentals are in terrible condition, with high rents and minimal maintenance. The deposit is often reduced, allowing the landlord to make an additional profit. Update: Sadly, I was a customer. Update: I have recovered my deposit, which you were wrongly holding back, via myDeposits.

22nd May 2026 (19 days ago)Sam and Jas are kind caring extremely helpful at all times. Going above and beyond their roles to get the job done. Sadly Cavendish Law are poor communicators and Jas spend many hours chasing them which was totally unnecessary.
23rd Jan 2026 (20 weeks ago)Had 8 different estate agents value my property (having already done my own research). ONLY Fox and Sons valued it the same. All the others just showed my details of other properties, none of which compared to mine, and put a ridiculously low value on mine. I showed them the door. Fox & Sons did not do this. They organised professional photographs etc., and advertised my property. Within a week I had an acceptable offer at my and Fox & Sons valuation, and far above that at which all the other Estate Agents had valued my home. The service from Fox & Sons has been nothing short of excellent, keeping me fully informed by text, email and phone, every step of the way. all I can do now is keep my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for the buyer.

They managed to sell our place within a short timeframe and were always so helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. I appreciate that their job of being in the middle between buyers and sellers is a hard one, but I always felt supported by them. The communication with the team was always great, I was never left hanging around waiting for a response. 12th May 2026 (29 days ago)Rented a property for two years from them, absolutely abysmal service and staff with obvious distain for tenants who know their rights. Please be aware they will insist on visiting every 3 months for a “property inspection to report maintenence issues” but no maintenence issues will get sorted without calling and emailing them several times a day for weeks. Immediately after moving in, the shower leaked into the kitchen and over the boiler, we reported it but ended up doing the repair ourselves weeks later as the agents weren’t interested. Shortly after this, we discovered the property was infested with rats, we of course reported this and it took several days for the agents to action anything. Pest control visited several times and advised us to get the entry holes filled. We told the agents this but they insisted on poisoning all of the rats before filling the holes. This went on for several months and we ended up threatening council involvement to get them to act. Eventually the holes were filled, and in the process the workman left us without electricity in the kitchen. This was on a Friday so we were left without electric in that room for the weekend. Of course there is no out of hours number for emergencies. A few months after this, our washing machine (all white goods included in the rent) started malfunctioning and pouring water all over the floor every time it was used. We reported this and eventually the agent sent someone to look at it. We were then told there was nothing wrong with it despite having pictures of the issue and error code it was showing when trying to it. This happened several times and it took nearly a month to get them to agree something was wrong, then we were told it was going to be another 8 weeks before it was repaired. After we advised we would like a rent reduction due to the lack of laundry facilities, the washing machine was replaced with what I can only assume was the cheapest model they could find with a much smaller capacity. The poorly installed fake grass in the raised area of the garden started to cave in, leaving a sunken area of around 15cm above a paved patio. We reported and someone came over and tore the corner of the grass up before leaving without attempting to repair. This was not resolved before we moved out several months later. We finally broke and moved out after reporting yet another issue and being accused of intentionally destroying the property and them asking us to pay for the repair. The day of move out they called us several times to demand the keys were handed back at 4, when we enquired where in our contract it said that they changed their mind and advised we could get them back to them by the end of the day. After we moved out they messed us around for ages about the deposit and we ended up having to start a dispute just to top the whole thing off. Obviously you don’t really have a whole lot of choice where you rent from these days but personally I would avoid at all costs.

25th May 2026 (16 days ago)When viewing the property we were promised blinds throughout the house, which was a big part of our decision so go ahead with the property. Now 4 weeks later we still don’t even have a date for blinds, my partners had surgery and we have no privacy, no way of keeping any light out, sleep is very poor with it being completely lit up in the early hours of the morning. We live in a new build where the site is still under construction so there’s many builders around and we get absolutely no privacy at all. We chase and we chase and receive a reply of “we are just a middle man” no you are the agent of the landlord it’s your responsibility to sort this! So a month in and we have no date for blinds or even an update, complete joke. I would completely avoid charters their lack of professionalism and integrity is impressive.
