Be Warned!!!!! Maguire Jackson are money grabbing thieves! We have been repeatedly Lied to and as a result we signed a contract under false pretences. All they are interested in is getting money out of you. Make sure you thoroughly read your contract especially the small print.. Maquire Jackson may seem like a professional trust worthy company but please do not be fooled. Worst experience ever they have cost me 10000 in moving fee's and out of court settlements if you have any issues do not expect any help whatsoever from them as they are con artists and should be shut down! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! EDIT: after reading MJ Denying all of the above and trying to say we have never heard of you this is yet more lies! 212 Liberty place! obviously they kept all this from head office to cover each other. When you rent with Maguire Jackson, be prepared to lose a lot of money. Not only will they charge extortionate “admin fees,” as if printing off a template contract and running credit checks costs £350, but they will also keep as much as your deposit as possible. They’ll tell you to get a professional clean, and after you pay £100 for a deep clean, they’ll charge you for cleaning anyway. This has happened to everyone I know who has rented with MJ. Good support on the marketing and letting side (Alice W is very helpful) but as with other reviews, I have to chase payment every month despite tenant making timely payments. As a landlord living overseas I would expect MJ to make my life easier not more difficult. Would not recommend.... Read more

I called about a flat and they set up a viewing for the next day, that next day I decided I wanted the flat and by the afternoon it was off the market for me - all very quick and easy. This company will steal your money at every opportunity. They charge extortionate fees and they will not return your deposit in its entirety. Myself and 2 others I know who have used Maguire Jackson did not receive their deposit back in full, despite leaving the place in perfect order (They will find a reason for deductions no matter what). They force you to get the place professionally cleaned. They will then charge you again for it to be professionally cleaned! Please avoid if you can.... Read more

After being let down by another agent not showing for a late viewing I was pleasantly surprised to find Maguire Jackson still open and did not feel rushed despite being in after opening hours and gave me a much greater knowledge of the current sales and rental market. One of the worst organisations I've ever dealt with, quite possibly the worst. I honestly don't know where to start: allowing a property with numerous defects (dysfunctional boiler, badly working fridge, TV aerial not working) to be let, not returning phone calls and reading email correspondence, thinking it not possible my co-tenant and I would want separate housekeys. Worst of all was not accepting my notice of end of tenancy in compliance with the terms of my AST, so threatening to continue charging me for the property INDEFINITELY until threatened with legal action!... Worst experience ever with this agency. They are quick to take your money but when there is an issue takes six months to resolve!!!Then the issue is resolved and they try to blame you for the problem and take your deposit!
