They did not put deposit into an approved scheme within the required time frame. The kitchen sink drained into the back of a cupboard. The shower tray did not drain and the toilet was not attached to anything at all. They then threatened the theft of the deposit upon us leaving the property until they were reminded that they had not followed regulations and then promptly paid it back. They do not know the law from their backside and more importantly do not care about the living standards of individuals. Do not use.... Read more

Do not use . They charge a lease fee , which is illegal . Their application form is full of discrepancies and will leave you vulnerable to losing your money . . ... Read more

I was dealing with this agency while trying to get a flat in Glasgow, the agency seemed really nice and helpful but a few things changed in time. First of all this letting agency is the only one of its kind to take a deposit to secure the application process, not to secure the property, but you have to hand over the deposit just to be considered. Once I handed over the deposit every time I dealt with them after that they were less helpful, in fact I felt as though they didn't want to speak to me at all. After a long application process that took about 2 weeks to complete I was then rejected and expected my deposit back, this then took roughly a week to process, they kept telling me that "It'll be in tomorrow, we're having trouble with our system" so eventually I threatened this very review I am writing now (Which I note I threatened immediately after they told me for the fourth time that it would be the next day) literally 30 minutes later and I notice my deposit has been returned, funny that isn't it that once threatened with a bad review the systems just happen to work? I will not ever be considering this letting agency again, their reviews are atrocious. Additional notes: Due to having to send over the deposit I could not safely apply to any other property because they have a policy that when you place your deposit down and then withdraw from the application they will keep the deposit (Illegal I'm sure but still) Due to the lengthy process I have now lost 3 weeks of flat searching time and have little more than a week left to search. Dealing with agents who presented the property for viewing, the after hours agent was very rude and unhelpful I am now dealing with Clyde Property, an agency who has been brilliant so far, but as an example of how uniquely terrible TLC is, Clyde have allowed me to view 3 properties in three days and the successful tenant has been announced only the day after each viewing, they have not asked for any holding fee until you are the chosen tenant, and I am waiting word back today about another property from them I have viewed. I beg you, please, don't go with this letting agency, they are absolutely terrible, and there are many nicer, cheaper flats dealt with by much more respectable agencies. Hasim, I can understand your feeling as I had the same experience with you. They tried all means by giving nonsense excuses to deduct your deposits. They simply conducted the inspection and then used any nonsense excuses to deduct your deposits in the final inspections and blamed the pre-existing defects to you! I should have read the review! Ignored all your requests during your rent to maintain the flat and WAITING TO EAT UP ALL YOUR DEPOSITS! Go ahead with them if you want to LOSE MONEY!... Read more

Got a viewing for a lovely flat in the southside. Following viewing the flat i phoned to out a deposit down. I was told i could put money fown but i would be unlikely to get it as 4 other people have already put applications in and a deposit down. When asked why they were allowed to do this i was told its how they have always worked. If you put your deposit down with these people hances are other people have been allowed to too and your expectations have been set incorrectly. Not a very good start to a let wouldnt like to see were else these guys fall short of the mark. I have worked woth many letting companies and i can assure you their above method is not how it works... Read more

Had Terrible experience in getting my deposit back from them. These people are unprofessional, disgraceful and would use all means to retain money. SO NEVER TRUST TLC OR YOU WOULD LOSE MONEY LIKE ME !!... Read more
