If you’re looking to rent a filthy, mouldy house that has been completely neglected, then Lex Allan are your people. After getting the keys to a rented property, we discovered SO many issues including rotting windows, loose brickwork, plaster falling from the ceiling, fire risks, dodgy workmanship (legit used kitchen paper and tape to fix a hole in the wall) and so much more. We didn’t encounter one empathetic or understanding member of staff. They even admitted they hadn’t inspected the property correctly nor would they live in it themselves, lucky for them it’s us who have taken the penalty though. We decided to let it go and accept the loss of hundreds of pounds because it was causing so much stress and anxiety dealing with it and these people clearly do not care. We thought it was over but now we’re receiving council tax bills through the door for a house we never lived in, so we have to deal with that!!! Absolute insanity. Worst experience in my adult life.... Read more
