I had a very disappointing experience with Nelson’s Estate Agents, specifically dealing with a sales agent named Aston and no support from the branch manager Muniza.
I paid £9,000 in advance for what was presented to me as full access to a rental property. However, when I later met the landlord directly, I was informed that this was not the case and that only part of the property would be available—contradicting what had been communicated to me by Aston.
Following this, I was told I would receive a full refund as the landlord decided not to proceed. Despite this assurance, I have now been waiting over a month with no refund, despite multiple emails and calls. This company is now telling me that my money is not with them and there is nothing they can do to help me.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to ensure that all details are clearly confirmed in writing and verified directly where possible before making any payments. Further I would not recommend doing business with them at all if your money will not be protected.
