Do not rent a property from these landlords they don't know what they are doing are they are very unprofessional, I was claiming housing benefit that covered the whole cost of the monthly rent and a couple of months living there they said that I was in rent arrears of about 4 months (I seriously don't know how that works) I rang up the dwp and they said housing benefits had been paid in full so I approached them about this and they still said that I was in rent arrears. After a couple of weeks past I was out and I came back late at night and the door lock had been changed, so I called the police and because no paperwork had been issued for the landlord to evict me I had to pay for a locksmith to change the locks when entering the flat all Christmas present I was giving family had been nicked and the flat was trashed and also a brand new 55inch TV which I got for Christmas was all smashed up I rang the police and the next day they got in touch with the landlord and apparently someone broke through the window at the back but when looking at the window there was no damage to the window or the frame and there was no glass anywhere so I know that did not happen. So I pulled them up and they where still sticking to there story so I said to them how did they know that happened but apparently a neighbour rang them and told them, why would a neighbour ring the landlord when there is a burglary, some time after Christmas I got woken up by the landlords drilling the locks they got in and got told I needed to speak to them at the office so I Did when arriving back at the property they changed the locks once again and they gave me the wrong keys back on purpose so I gave up and I spoke to the police again and they told me I could break into the property but I never had any money at all to get a locksmith so I gave up the flat all together and lived on the streets for 3 weeks through that time I kept on contacting the landlord to get all my stuff out of the property but they kept saying ring back tomorrow as nobody is available after the 3 weeks as they are suppose to by law to give me 28 days to get my stuff back I called into the police station and the police rang them it turns out they removed everything out of the property a couple of days later and binned it all yeah right, so there is now a police investigation and I'm now speaking to a solicitor. I'm not the only person that I have heard that it has happened to also. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up because I don't want this to happen to anyone else and 2020 I'll see you in court one day.... Read more

Got me to sign a 6 months contract during day time and rang me in the evening to tell me that i need to shift into another house because the other rooms in this house are empty! (i did not agree) after 1 month their "Lettings negotiator" called me in the evening at 7:00 pm to tell me very politely that i need to pack up over night and get out of the house by 3:00 pm tomorrow and move to another of their property. Reason? because another family of four was coming from Scotland and they had promised to let them the house including my room! They even offered a van to get my stuff shifted! When i made a complaint at the Middlesbrough Council, the 2020 Homes sent down their plumber to negotiate with me who violently banged the door for ten minutes and after that he called me on the telephone when i scolded him off 3 men just walked into the house (using management keys) and kept making loud noises with their hammers for 45 minutes as if they had to bring down the house. My room was locked and i called my Uncle to come over. As soon as my Uncle came, the three men flew away. @2020 Homes! You deserve the award of professional criminals.... Read more
