This review relates to my dealings with Diana Boyd, Director of Boyd Legal. Ignorant, unprofessional, unpleasant to deal with as they don't want to reply to questions. Had to contact the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission to deal with my complaint. Diana Boyd should be ashamed to call herself a professional.
Briefly, my experience in dealing with Boyd Legal is that they are poor at communicating with their client. Having complained to the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission, they have found that 'There is evidence of a breach of Article 3 of the Service Standards relating to communication.' The SLCC recommended that my complaint 'amounted to an inadequate professional service' and recommended Boyd Legal pay me £750 compensation. Due to the nature of SLCC complaints (not enforceable by SLCC at the investigative stage) Boyd Legal have declined to pay the compensation (surprise, surprise - would turkeys vote for Christmas?). My SLCC complaint will now escalate to be decided by a Determination Committee whose decision is final and binding, unless Boyd Legal want to appeal to the Court of Session.
I'll write a detailed review in due course - probably a lot sooner than the 18+ months it's taken to get my complaint looked at. In that time, I've not had a single response or apology from Diana or her representatives. Sums up the attitude of Boyd Legal perfectly.
My advice, if you find you must use this company above all others, is don't be afraid to complain about substandard service to Boyd Legal, and if you get zero response, as I did, complain to the SLCC. It's a pretty pointless exercise so far, but the main thing is having your voice heard, because Boyd Legal, Diana, 'Princess of Silence' in particular, have zero interest in complaints about their shoddy service.
Save yourself hassle and grief - hire a different solicitor, you've plenty of others to choose.
Excellent estate agents. Managed to sort out accomodation on short notice and had me moved in on the date which was required.
Extremely unprofessional. One of the senior Estate Agents really does need to learn about Customer services and how to interact with `valued customers`. She is everything bad in Estate Agency. Yes, you, H.F. ... On a more positive note, I did persuade 2 people to NOT use you and I am now selling my mums property with some one else. IF H.F. stays with you, then expect to lose customers. I will never promote you whilst she is there.
Great service from Central Business Sales. They sold my cafe in Great Western Road in Glasgow in lest than a month at a great price. They also recommended a very good solicitor. All round great service and would highly recommend.
Very pleased with Central Business Sales. Advertised my business then sold it. Job done.
I bought a house through Morgans and was impressed with their professionalism and prompt service. The seller's agency was very difficult to deal with, but Lorraine at Morgans secured a great deal on our behalf and got us in earlier than the move in date. If I could give more stars I would. I highly recommend this company!
If I could have given them a negative rating, I would have. Primarily dealt with Linda, the Letting Manager, with our rental agreement for a property in Dunfermline. Everything was great until we wanted to move out. Linda became very unprofessional asking for an immediate entry to the property for a look around to make sure it was all in shape.
All our previous inspections were top class, and the only notes were some weeding that I never done.
Anyway, Linda used all sorts of ways to gain entry, false legal speech, incorrect statements of fact from the tenant agreement and even used an excuse that SHE WAS GOING INTO HOSPITAL FOR A MINOR OP AND THIS WAS STRESSING HER (I have emails as proof, so unprofessional it's not even funny) that we finally caved. This is just ONE of many issues and hassle we had leaving our rented property.
I'm in the mist of writing a massive complaint to them, and I'll end with this, if Claire Morgan if ever needs a new Lettings Manager, I could do a DAMN site better than Linda.
