Absolutely disgusting behavior from Myra! Lies lies and more lies. Did work on a house for her in February, it's now July and still no payment. She takes no responsibility and expects you to just roll over and forget about it. I would avoid myra like the plague.... Read more

I sold my home in Essex England, spoke to Myra on numerous occasions she promised me the earth and delivered nothing !!! I suggested 5 properties and she advised against all, she promised she would have a place before I left England, Never answered a phone call and even when I found a place I offered to pay anything, she finally emailed me on the day I should have completed and exchanged to tell the place I wanted was off the market, if it wasn’t for the fact I’m half Scots and have family and siblings in Edinburgh Burntisland and Glenrothes I would say it was a totally anti English thing, DISGUSTING SERVICE, IN FACT NO SERVICE, SHES A DISGRACE... I personally know two people that Myra has had a hand in killing in their property's, and more that they've forced into homelessness through negligence. She, and in lieu Martin in Co, refuse to sort any severity of black mold and make a point in complely refusing to fix heating issues during the winter. Effectively torturing their tenets for even thinking of wasting Myras time with their "human rights". That's without going into how she/it don't pass any of this info onto the property owners, like crippling structural damage. Also, Myra a nasty little habit of trying to belittle people, even when first meeting them. Part of it is her lack of education, which is massively obvious even from the short conversations she generously allows let's her paying customers every other fortnight.... Read more

This is one of the worst letting agencies in the entire United Kingdom. The flat was filthy when we moved in, food left rotting in the cupboards and fridge, stripped windows, no TV despite the promise of one, 2 weeks of no heat in winter with no response from them, etc. Its truly unbelievable that this, THE ONLY SERVICE your company provides, is somehow beyond your ability to do competently, being unable to accomplish even the most basic aspects of it apparently. I've made sure to warn everyone I can about this "agency" and their underhanded and incompetent business practices.... Read more

Tried to contact the office several times to view a property, found it very difficult to speak with Myra and found any comms quite sharp and dismissive. Was persuaded to have a drive by viewing of the property as despite listing it unable to view as tenant sill in situ. Agent seemed to know nothing about the property either and there appears to be a neighbour problem due to lack of maintenance done by current tenant. Was almost persuaded to put down a deposit without viewing the property, surely an agent doing this cannot be right?! Then heard nothing, oh with the exception that the Landlord has now put the rent on the property in Fleming Way in Burntisland up to £700. Then got a message saying that they were starting viewings, then another that the landlords friend has going to look at the property and guess what after all of that the landlord let it to his mate. Such a waste of everyone's time. Given all the other negative reviews maybe I have dodged a bullet. What a shame this franchise is not to the usual good standard for Martin and Co. Good luck renting with them - the reviews speak for themselves regarding the Kirkcaldy branch.... Read more

Phoned 3 weeks ago wanting to view a house in Glenrothes,Myra is the 1 that took the call never has she got back to me,have phoned on several occasions to be hit with Myra is busy or is on another call, still no reply from Myra, surprised Myra still has a job with the amount of complaints about her!... Found dealing with Martin and Co an absolute pleasure! I’ve had 3 separate dealings with Martin & Co I couldn’t fault the service at all. As far as my experience with them they bent over backwards for me every time I needed them. If I ever needed a rental again they would be my first choice. I couldn’t recommend Martin & Co enough for how they helped me when I needed a property, the team in Kirkcaldy were fantastic!! Very happy customer.... Read more

Terrible company to deal with, agree with the other comments, lies after lies after lies. Myra must constantly be on the other line( yep you have heard it many times also) They still have my deposit 8 weeks on, oh I pulled out of the deal after being told more lies. Some previous reviews sum them up, smoke and mirrors, unhelpful and unprofessional. Used them as a landlord for 10 years but the last 3 were completely unacceptable and finally moved on from them. The aftercare and service was atrocious. My opinion - avoid like the plague whether tenant or LL.... Read more

Been using Martin & Co close to 2 years now. I have had nothing but a great experiencing using them. Before we moved to Kirkcaldy we used an Edinburgh estate agents (Broughton Property) who were god awful and treated you like a second class citizen. I can safely say that Martin & Co have restored my faith with estate agents. Would 100% reccomend, ask for Myra shes a delight!... Read more
