Made a “late payment” charge for an… Made a “late payment” charge for an invoice that was not received, probably lost in the postal system or not sent at all. After several communications they still refused to drop the £60 charge. Just an awful company to deal with. Avoid at all costs. Communication was slow and blunt.... Read more

Terrible company to deal with, their admin procedures are a disgrace! It’s no wonder some reviews state they are cost effective, it is because they don’t respond to any requests. I would highly recommend if you have a property that requires managing you look elsewhere - avoid at all costs! Shambles!... Read more

An absolute sham of a company. The management services are terrible with promises made and never kept, staff turnover is high so someone different is always "managing" you, and can take weeks to get a response. Avoid at all costs!... Read more

As a Leasehold director on a large site with 68 properties and large gardens I have found Luke our property manager exceptionally helpful and happy to work with directors on all of the problems that occur. It makes life a lot easier to know that you have the backing of a large company with the resources to offer advice and provide up to date information to help with the day to day running of the site... I rented an apartment that's managed by these people in Warwick & there are no arrangements to park your bike . You are forced to stuff it inside your apartment or leave it outside on the road. I leave it in the communal area at times as it cannot be carried to 2nd floor all the time & received a letter that bicycle parked is unlawful . It's a shame such property management companies in UK call bicycle parking as nuisance & the owners of the apartments that handover their properties to such people need to think. It looks unprofessional and cheap when they send out letters for legal action or removal of bikes ; It's their responsibility to arrange alternate places for parking of bikes. I don't often write reviews but I have had amazing service from Rose- Marie from the Stratford office now on more than one occasion. Once in a urgent request in some paperwork for the sale of my property and also with processing a refund on my account so swiftly. I have never had a problem with SDL unlike previous bad experiences with prior management companies. 5 stars due.... Read more

I am a leaseholder Director of a small 24 apartment block and we moved to this company a year ago when our previous managing agents went into liquidation without warning leaving us with no funds. SDL Bigwood have been a tremendous help, managing our difficult circumstances with sensitivity and through their hard work and dedication, we are now moving forward and view the future with some confidence. Quarterly financial reviews are held and booked well in advance, regular site visits undertaken and prompt responses to queries are always received from our Property Manager.. The annual Service Charge budgeting process is handled professionally. I highly recommend their services... Read more

I'm currently at 6 calls to these people trying to get a consent form/letter to have a pet in my flat. I've had verbal confirmation that I am allowed and yet the letter I supposedly need to sign has yet to turn up. Very frustrating company to deal with - avoid if at all possible.... Read more

Terrible company. You are forced to pay ridiculous amounts of money for them to do very little and then claim exorbitant management fees on invoices. £250 a year to maintain a piece of gravel outside our driveway (that is not maintained well); Then you want another £250 on top for extra expenses?!
