From start to finish we've had a really positive experience at The Pastures.
Courtney is the site sales advisor and is really helpful. She's been on hand to update, support and discuss all matters relating to our house purchase. The only learning point for us was using our own solicitors firm - matters were slightly complicated due to our part exchange so I'd advise using Weightmans (Persimmons solicitors at our time of purchase).
We were kept up to take by Warren (additional sales advisor) for our move in date - we had our inspection with him (new home demonstration) and met one of the site Managers, Dave. Warren was friendly, efficient and honest. Him and Courtney worked really well together, both approachable and friendly people.
Dave (one of the site managers) was pleasant to deal with and really approachable for us. Every time we've spoken with him he's been understandably very busy but has always put aside some brief time to speak - which is always hugely appreciated. We've not had many snags worthy of hassling the site management about, but the two snags we've raised have been dealt with quickly and efficiently. The tag line of 'we can't fix it if we don't know about it' really rings true and I'd advise any new buyer to respect this system.
The other site manager, Darren, is equally as approachable and pleasant. Both Darren and Dave have jobs to do but are always on hand to support and assist where they can. Dave even installed our fridge himself!
Ignore the recent press regarding Persimmon. As always, bad news sells papers. There's some fantastic people working for the company and they're all working hard to build a positive reputation. Our care has been above and beyond and we couldn't ask for more from all staff at the Pastures.... Read more

It's all about being realistic, too.

One entrance on/off (A Bottleneck ) thats chaotic before they added to the problem and the place will stink to high heaven in Summer as it's as near to Diggle Green recycling farm that you can get ( not to mention the flies ) and that was before they got the green light to up the capacity from 35.000 tonnes up to 72.000 tonnes . You don't get the pong as bad in Spring / Autumn. Building anything so near is gross stupidity !... Read more
