I have had the worst ever experience dealing with Everdon Estate agent, all because of one man-their Lettings Manager who also doubles as their accountant. He left me with the impression that this is a typical rogue agent. The Lettings Manager is unbelievably arrogant. He does not return customer calls or respond to their messages. Landlords and home owners who want to let out your property watch out! The arrogant manager, acting on behalf of the estate agent approaches you and tricks landlords into signing a residential agreement as if he is the one who is going to be the tenant. Without permission, he "redecorates your property" even if you have spent a fortune doing it up. He then sublets your property on a short term basis. Without your permission he and his crooked agency colleagues will change locks to your property to prevent you from even entering it legitimately and legally. They put cameras in all the rooms! They register water, Council tax and other bills using different names. Your Council tax, water bills etc will never be paid as they will be registered under different people. One wonders if these people really exist in life or it is some identity scam! When you discover all this and give them notice, the agency will stop paying your rent and the manager will lie through his teeth about why the rent has not been paid! The man is a serial liar to the core! For the agency to be represented by such a person with a questionable character speaks lowly of them as a business.
