Absolutely disgusting company. Increased rent by 61% Refusing to pay my £1300 deposit back. Said the floor needed repainting £1000 + vat Light bulb £120 + vat Tension spring on shutter door £300 + vat Bathroom cleaning £50 + vat Bathroom redecorating £50 + vat The floor wasn’t freshly painted when I moved in. It was patchy and marked everywhere. The spring on the door was already missing and one of the safety features on the was fixed with a rivet. The bathroom was already filthy and was cleaned by me when I moved in. Yes the sink wasn’t great when I left but was no worse than when I moved in. Scuffs on the bathroom walls were already there. If you rent from these thieves please make sure you take photos of EVERYTHING the day you move in and keep them as evidence or they’ll rob you. I would NEVER use or recommend Hurstwood’s to anyone.... Read more

We have just started our commercial tenancy at Lune Industrial Estate and Hurstwood are now our 10th landlord. They have been fantastic to deal with right from the start: straightforward, responsive, fair in their dealings and always ready to address our fit-out and design issues. Chloe Ellerby worked hard to find us the right space and was always available and approachable. The Landlord's works were extensive and there was no quibbling at all about their extent. The legal process was a joy and Alvin Pinder, their in-house solicitor was pragmatic and solution-oriented without the normal drama that many lawyers bring to the table. Weve had hurstwood holdings as our landlords now for over 3 years. In that time they have shown me nothing other than complete professionalism. They have always gone above and beyond to make sure any issue has been dealt with efficiently and promptly. They have supported us thru all the ups and down of this covid situation and always been there when needed for advise, permissions and general things in relation to our unit. Henry Hill, Julie Black you guys are a credit to Hurstwoods in my oppinion. You guys are the 1's i deal with most and can genuinely say thanks for all the assistance, support and general care youve shown me from the get go. Am so pleased that the industrial estate as a whole is getting completely gutted and its going to look awesome. Anyone considering Hurstwoods look no further. There in 1 word Transparent.
