10th Nov 2025 (7 mo. ago)Avoid Hills Estate Agency at All Costs!! I have spent the past year being over-promised and massively under-delivered by Hills. The experience has been nothing short of a disaster. There has been a complete failure in communication from start to finish. I was repeatedly given “estimated completion dates” that never materialised, followed by weeks even over a month of no contact whatsoever. Because of their poor advice, I am now over £2,000 out of pocket. The unprofessionalism is staggering. Staff openly discussed the seller’s personal finances, telling me the seller “had no money” and describing them as “an absolute nightmare customer.” Imagine paying Hills thousands of pounds to sell your property, only for them to bad-mouth you to the buyer. Completely unacceptable. Given this behaviour, it’s no surprise there are so many negative reviews online. I submitted a formal complaint and received a response from Charlotte today no empathy, no apology. If this is how a director behaves, it’s clear why the rest of the staff follow suit. If you value your time, your money and your sanity, avoid Hills like the plague!! Useless!!

They were friendly, professional and kept me informed at every stage. Any questions I had were answered quickly and the move in process was smooth and straightforward. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new place to rent.

She had the answer to all questions we had, she kept us updated on the process of the application and was very polite and lovely to talk to in general.
15th Jun 2026 (3 days ago)The initial meeting to value the property, the subsequent meeting to take photos and the organising of the paperwork was great, we were impressed, which was why we went with them. Unfortunately, after 14 weeks on the market they had only got us 2 viewings and their communication to us was a bit hit and miss, so we decided to go with a different agent. They weren’t the right agent for us on this occasion.- 30th May 2026 (19 days ago)Our personal experience with your move, and especially Carlie who updated/communicated constantly during our buying process has been first class. I can’t thank the team enough. 14th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)We had an absolutely fantastic experience buying our first home through Home Estate Agents. The communication was brilliant! Nick supported us through the process, and helped us get answers whenever we needed them. Nick was never too busy to help, and was vital in making sure the sale went through in what turned out to be a lengthy process. Would 100% recommend!

22nd Sep 2025 (8 mo. ago)I once excellent company completely wrecked by its new owners. The company used to be very easy to communicate with, now its easier to communicate with the dead. They use to be polite, but Northwood regard tenants as an inconvenience. I had eight years of good experiences but the ninth is a mess, and its all because Northwood, the new owners, are terrible. It must have taken a lot of effort to transform a great company into one I am now writing a one-star review for on every platform I can find, but they managed it.
28th Aug 2025 (9 mo. ago)Overall a mixed bag of opinions, chris himself who does the show rounds is lovely but buying your first home is a bit of a minefield to say the least, We had two failed property's with them. 1st property where the seller pulled out because we wouldn't pay 3.6k towards HIS defective lease this went on for a few months and resulted on us missing the deadline of our tenancy end in our current property. The estate agents was not considerate of the situation & didn't offer anything else within our criteria and just went about their day knowing we'd still be open to further properties as we were staying in air bnb's and hotels at the time. They just re listed the property as "newly" on the market when in fact it had been listed for the best part of 6-8 months prior. The second property we went to attend a viewing in which they hadn't pencilled in and we had to call whilst being stood outside for 15 minutes. to which we was told we never confirmed even though we had written confirmation of both ourselves and themselves agreeing a time etc, We was then rushed during this viewing because they'd double booked. We went onto register interest in another property and just never received a follow up. We shown interest in this property more than once left vm's and emails. If you're thinking about selling i would not use them as they don't care about you at all & have probably scared many other potential buyers off as well. After a whole year we managed to find a house with another estate agents stress free, This house did not come with free mould, soiled floorboards, leaking roofs, Landlord special cover ups & the area was not mis sold as a nice area when in fact it gave shameless a good run for its money.

Dewi Jones was able to put my property up for sale online within a week, and immediately we had multiple viewings. I got the price I wanted and it was a easy process as Dewi is professional and communicates regularly, he was always available to have a quick chat and keep me up to date.

Big thanks to Claire too for assisting with the sale in the final stages and getting it through to contracts exchanging. Would highly recomend!

Very proactive in marketing my property and no issue in relation to attending viewings when I was unable to be present. A great all round team!
26th Aug 2021 (4 years ago)As a landlord I would say you should avoid dealing with Taylor Jackson. They were dire at best. Totally incompetent as letting agents. Problems we had: The tenants rent was agreed but he never paid the full amount. They falsified a Tenancy agreement, we only found this out when we sold the property. They did not inspect the property. They held onto money the tenant did pay, we only found out by accident that the Tenant had paid, I am fairly sure had we not found out they would never have paid and their accounting system is dreadful. They had work carried out for us and we did not get any invoices just a charge. The tenant owed 18 months rent in the end so we sold the property. Good riddance Taylor Jackson!

Like many others, I am actively looking to connect with past or present tenants who have been subjected to their misconduct for a potential collective legal claim. Do not be fooled by the persona they project at the start. Once you are locked in, the mask slips. Their management is characterized by habitual dishonesty, gaslighting, and a complete disregard for tenant and statutory rights Interestingly, their standard response to every negative review is to claim it is "fake." It is quite an extraordinary leap to suggest that dozens of people are so bored they’ve decided to fabricate identical stories of negligence and unprofessionalism. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the safety risks. Avoid this agency at all costs. I feel sorry for Landlords who use their service.
