The team at Hills helped me out in selling my home. They did this quickly, efficiently and with great customer service. I would recommend anyone selling in this area to use Hills if you want a professional service and straightforward service. A special thanks to Martin and Charlotte - couldn't have done it without you two!
Unless you want to be lied to, deceived and ripped off then I would completely avoid this company. They never answer their calls and when they eventually do get back to you they lie about offers that they have had on a property to deceive you into buying a property at a higher price. This was proved when my partner put in an offer for a house to which the estate agent told him there had already been 3 other offers at higher prices, my mother then contacted them the next day and asked about the house and they stated that they had only had one offer on the house (my partner's!!) thus proving them liars! there's absolutely no customer care here it is literally all about them getting as much money out of you as they can! I'd go with Bridgefords if I were you, at least they answer the phone.
Recently bought a house through Keenans. They kept me well informed throughout all stages and were always professional, friendly and eager to help. I will definitely use them next time I'm moving and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you!
Keenan's is the worst estate agents I have ever come across. The staff at the Manchester branch are absolutely appalling, they constantly lied to us, they didn't put in our offers when they said they did. When we finally got a house and our offer was accepted, they still let people view the property and they let other people put higher offers on the house, which lead us to lose the house. When I complained about the way we were treated the staff dismissed everything, when we rang to speak to the manager members of staff kept hanging up the phone. I did not meet one decent member of staff whilst dealing with Keenan's. I advice that if your wanting to buy/rent/sell a house do not go to Keenan's they have no work ethics and only care about themselves, not their clients.
Great service from Reeds Rains and especially from Ben who has patiently and professionally answered all the questions I've thrown at him over the last few months - many thanks to Ben and the team.
Wasted my time and money.
I planned to take a day off work and drove an 8hr round trip to view a property. The agent seemed like he was in such a rush and couldn't get me out fast enough. He did not seemed bothered at all.
After being told that our offer was accepted and they would take the house off the market once we paid for a surveyor to view the property and once we got a AIP.
We sent the surveyor in and they day we were going to get the report back and AIP, we were told that we had been outbid and we would have to increase our offer, even though the people who put the new offer in didn't even have a surveyors report.
Not only did I waste my time and money, the agent took his sweet time replying to our emails and didn't even answer all our questions.
This is not an agent I will deal with again in the future.
My son and his girlfriend have recently moved to Manchester and are renting a property with Jordan Fishwick and I can honestly say the service we have received has been fab - a big thank you to Alex, Alex and Lisa for all of your help !
I have endured nothing but bad experiences with this landlord.
No repair is ever fixed without me chasing it 4 times.
I have faced surprise inspections with little or no notice and criticised for the way my personal items things look at the property, however they choose the shower curtains of all things.
I have had many letters sent to me demanding over due rent only to find it out to be their mistake and the mistake to be repeated a week later.
We had a wet floor for over a week over christmas due to a leak they didn't get fixed for us after us reporting it several times. We asked for simple changes to be made to make the property more insulated such as carpet instead of laminated flooring. To this they told us the changes had been agreed so we would renew our contract and then just laid carpet down (with no under lay so it is as cold as ever) so there is now a freezing concrete floor with a single layer of carpet over it and subsequently a large gap between the skirting board and the carpet all of the way around the room.
All in all bad communication and bad at following up anything you'd expect them to do as your agent. The reviews on here seem to reflect the same experience where the tennent is very unhappy with the experience.
Hannah really did a great job and went out of her way to make sure that all queries were resolved between agents and the management company of the apartments so we could complete on time.
Booked a viewing and the agent was more than 30 minutes late. This was how they behaved even BEFORE I handed over admin fee and deposit. Just imagine how they would treat you afterwards. I didn't even bother to see the flat after standing outside it for half an hour when the agent told me he still needed another 15 minutes to get there. Among so many estate agents in Manchester, why does anyone have to use the one that can't even show up on time?
We want to take this opportunity to thank you very much Lori McPherson, for your continued support and taking on the connecting role between us, the buyers and solicitors to both speed up the process as much as possible and to finally settle the deal!
We only hope that the new landlord chooses Thornley Groves as we did to manage the property!
We would warmly recommend you guys after eight years of being our estate agents, in everything from rental, day-to-day management and finally selling our property. Please extend our thanks to all at Thornley Groves who've did an excellent job!
Incompetent and dishonest.
I know to many a good letting agent is an oxymoron but I would strongly warn against letting through Thornley Groves in particular as they are the worst I've ever dealt with.
They failed to record any of the conversations or works orders for our flat and so denied knowledge of their contractor taking any broken items from the apartment. They therefore dishonestly took money from our deposit for these items - after significant hard work and many lost hours our appeal to the TDS found in our favour so we were eventually reunited with our £65 withheld deposit. If you are unlucky enough to already be a customer of theirs, record everything in emails and writing as they will not. I would go as far as suggesting recording phone conversations (with their blessing).
We would suggest not cleaning your property before moving out as no matter how deep the clean, Thornley Groves will find some reason to charge you for another. In our case this included leaving unopened hand soap next to the sink for the next tenant and failing to clean the inside of the washing machine drawer. Speaking of the washing machine, this was advertised to us as a washer-dryer when we were guided around the property by one of Thornley Groves' agents - this was a barefaced lie.
They are not at all interested in acting on the tenant's behalf and are solely interested in the landlord's business. They are incredibly slow to act to resolve issues with properties (including no running hot water in bathroom) and have a high level of staff turnover meaning any relationships you strike up with their staff end very quickly.
Very poor service - AVOID!!!!!
