Terrible, avoid at all costs. Core consistently refused to conduct even the most basic repairs and threatened me with eviction for requesting that they fix things. Had male members of staff shout down the phone at me on more than one occasion resulting in me feeling I needed to vacate the property early due to stress caused. I'd also advise anyone reading this to look at how many of the 5 star reviews are created by accounts with 1 review or more and immediately follow negative reviews. It looks like they're simply making up fake reviews to boost credibility. Look at the thumbs up on negative reviews too - these people aren't lying.... Read more

Rented what seemed to be a nice enough flat only for things to quickly turn sour as Core had effectively 'painted over the cracks'. Lots of hidden issues soon made life in the flat difficult and Core consistently failed to deal with them. For example, by insisting myself and my husband called rather than emailed to avoid any written proof of their empty promises. Upon ending our tenancy we were hit with unfair charges for damage we did not cause. Avoid at all cost.... Read more

When I got my flat it was a mess. There was broken furniture, leak in the sink, 10 bin bags of items that I had to get rid of on my own, hair that I had to scrub out of the carpet and a hole in a wall. It was only a studio apartment but because of the build up of dirt it took me about two weeks to clean while I stayed at a friends, I also work two jobs. Core property has tried to fix some of these things after I moved in but haven't been very responsive nor have they apologised. All these things should have been in order before the flat was rented out. I would also like to point out that they had replied to my review but haven't replied to an email I sent them a month ago regarding rent as they were trying to change how much money I had payed upfront.... I was renting a property under that agent. I had paid 6 months in advance to get in the apartment cause I had no credit score back then coming from a foreign country. When the 6 month period was coming to an end, and having not heard from them about continuation of the contract, I contacted them again and I said that I wished to extend my stay in the property. They claimed that I had to pay 6 months in advance again cause they didn't have time to do a credit check! While I had already been in the property for almost 6 months by then! I paid the 6 month period in advance again, despite them failing to mail me the proper bank details twice. 3 months before the new tenancy period ended my wife found another more suitable apartment. We gave them a month's notice in advance that we plan to move to a new property. They refused to return any of the advance payment that had been made, despite the fact that we were forced into paying in advance by their incompetence and despite that we vacated the property at least 1 month before the scheduled end of tenancy. So essentially that lead to a 2 month period overlap where I was paying for both properties. Generally a rather poor experience and although the landlord was a lovely guy, the agency itself really put me off engaging with them again under any circumstances, even if the property is really worth it.... I am a tenant in one of Core’s properties in the east end. My heating went down Christmas Day. Core had an engineer at the flat and restored everything by lunchtime. Meaning Christmas was saved.
