Over the past year we have been using Cityscape Lettings to manage our rental property in Glasgow west end. We had no experience with letting out a property previously, but after meeting Ian any reservations we may have had quickly disappeared.
Cityscape provided excellent advice and managed everything superbly well, being very transparent and accurate on all the details. They kept us updated during the viewing process found suitable tenants very quickly, and made sure we had all the appropriate certifications and paperwork in place. So far, it’s been a relatively stress free process. That is all thanks to Ian who has managed the needs of our tenants perfectly, whilst we’ve had the comfort of knowing our property is in good hands, being inspected properly and always well maintained. I was a Cityscape tenant for a year and I can only highly recommend them! I appreciated the cleanliness of the property when I moved in, and attention to any need for repairs or checks during my tenancy. The check-out was absolutely smooth, as well as the return of deposit.
Ian is professional, approachable, flexible, and very responsive and prompt in communication, which I particularly valued. He offered a personalised approach and built a trust relationship - I felt he genuinely cares for the comfort and wellbeing of tenants. Having rented from other agencies, I know this is rare.

I brought my Glasgow apartment in late 2020, having not viewed the actual property as I live overseas. Cityscape was recommended to me by my sister in law who is a local. To this day, they are still amazing. Their service has consistently been of the highest standard from the very first email when Ian helped me with getting the keys from the previous owner, arranging workers to repaint the walls, changed the carpets, fixed the bathroom, kitchen and even helped with ensuring the new furniture are delivered. Since moving our properties to Cityscape a couple of years ago, we have received excellent service. As reluctant landlords, we really needed an agent that would manage the properties with a minimum of input from us and Cityscape has performed that role perfectly. I cannot recommend Cityscape and Ian highly enough. I was selling my house in Killearn and had decided to use Clyde, the service was awful. I do not live in the area and needed an estate agent who would be able to go the extra mile. I left Clyde before I even went on the market. Ian was brilliant, he had the property on the market quickly, he kept me fully in touch with progress. Either him or Emily did the viewings which meant that no one was shown around by someone who didn’t know the property. It was not a straight forward sale but Ian was brilliant throughout. A professional, supportive and reasonable estate agent. They fully deserve a five star rating.

I started using Cityscape property as my letting agent last summer after countless problems with a previous agent. The previous agent had frequently let me down after 5 years of service and I have been hugely impressed and grateful for the professionalism and service I have received from Cityscape (Ian Skinner in particular) since I switched.
They have dealt with repairs quickly, carried out suitable checks on tenants, frequent inspections and kept me up to date with any developments or issues. The instant feedback has been a breath of fresh air. Additionally I have found that Ian goes out of his way to be helpful and takes a pride in managing apartments (picking up smoke detectors for my flat is in his own time for example). There are also no 'hidden fees' that I am aware of, a frequent issue I had with my previous agent.

I've been really impressed with the lettings team, particularly Ian Skinner, at Cityscape properties in Glasgow.
I'm a local landlord, and I'm pretty cynical about estate agents usually, because I find that after the first push to get your business, they treat their customers (landlords and tenants) like a commodity, and not like human beings.
Cityscape have been first class from the start, offering me objective advice and support, even when there was nothing in it for them. They're good at getting back to me when I call or email, and they are always friendly and helpful.

Cityscape are a breath of fresh air. I have been stung in the past by rogue agents and my trust in the industry was low. Ian has changed my perception of what an expert and professional letting agent can do. His diligence with flat inspections and excellent communications skills impress. He knows his stuff providing great advice. Most importantly he found a tenant in less than 24hours who is still there after a year. Throughly recommend.

Based on the excellent service I have received from Ian as a Rental Agent I asked him to market my property for sale. Within the week I had three offers all worthy of consideration. Ian attended all the viewings and was actually complemented by the eventual buyer on his knowledge of the property and how he dealt with any queries. I know from experience that this is not the norm from other competitors. Ian's communication, work ethic and people skills are all laudable and my only regret is that I now do not have a property for him to manage. Highly recommended and just a good decent guy who works hard.

Moving in and out were hassle free with Ian helping to sort electricity/ council tax etc and deposits were paid back very quickly. I can't recommend Cityscape Letting enough for anyone looking to rent in Glasgow!

Efficient and very communicative. We have used Cityscape for the past few years to manage our Glasgow properties. As we are based overseas, having Cityscape manage our properties is a great help as they have taken care of everything (repairs, tenant queries, marketing, tenant vetting, etc.). For over 3 + years, the only time we have had an empty flat is shortly after purchasing them (to allow for renovations / upgrades) and for < 1 month between tenants. Ian has also helped us to achieve higher yields and has found quality tenants. We definitely recommend Cityscape!

Cityscape recently acted as agents for the sale of my flat in Glasgow. Ian provided a great service, undertaking all requests related to the sale, preparation for sale, maintenance and administration of my flat. He worked patiently with occasionally difficult outgoing tenants and my previous letting agent through the initial viewings and transition period. He worked tirelessly to keep me informed of every development at every stage, often e-mailing well outside of regular working hours. I especially appreciated that Cityscape are upfront about costs, not hiding them or forcing an enquiry and subsequent haggling as most agents do. Instead, Cityscape are straightforward and highly competitive. Overall I felt the service I received was far better than I would have expected from one of the big agencies, and Ian did a lot of work so that I didn't have to, dealing effectively and patiently with the ups and downs of the sale process.

I used Cityscape for 7 years a letting agent and recently to sell my Glasgow flat, I absolutely could not fault the service. Ian was extremely efficient and professional and living in the South of England I never had any worries that my flat wasn't being looked after well. Any repairs that needed doing were carried out extremely quickly and at very reasonable cost. When it came to selling the flat the team continued the immaculate record and it was listed quickly and sold within 9 days, even exceeding the home buyers report value. I could not have been happier with the service I received from Ian and Cityscape and could not recommend them highly enough!

Ian at Cityscape Lettings has looked after our flats in Glasgow for nearly a year now. Having used other well known management agents in the past, choosing Cityscape Lettings is by far, one of the best decisions we've ever made and I personally would bet money that you won't find another agent quite like them.
Ian keeps us informed at all times of anything that's wrong or needing repaired whether it be minor or major. As well as their fees being very reasonable, they use very reasonably priced repairmen. If there's any problems, it's fixed in no time at all, making the tenant and ourselves very happy and stress free.
I would say the huge difference between Cityscape Lettings and other agents is that they actually care about you, your tenant and your property and we're not just another number in their books. It's just a pity they don't manage all over Scotland, as we haven't yet found an agent that even compares for the properties we have out with Glasgow.
We would highly recommend using Cityscape Lettings. They won't ever let you down and you won't be disappointed.

It has been a pleasure renting a flat from Cityscape over the last year and a half. Not your average letting agent at all (in the past, dealing with other Glasgow letting agents just filled me with dread!)... Beautiful flat, along with a very friendly, helpful and professional service from Ian at all times. I only ever had one issue with the flat (the fridge broke, as they sometimes do), and Ian had someone come look at it the following morning, and my brand new fridge arrived the following day! The moving in/out process was very smooth and stress-free, and Ian kept in touch throughout my tenancy to make sure I was happy with everything. Don't think I'd go anywhere else in the future if I was looking for a flat to rent in Glasgow :)

Amazing professional and personal service. I actually contacted Ian to merely enquire about letting out my furnished property in Miller Street, that had remained empty while I was in Australia.
He was so professional, reassuring and helpful, that the property was rented just a few weeks after my initial contact, without me doing a single thing except sending him keys, all from the other side of the world.
I guess one could say a city centre apartment would be easy to rent and they may be correct. However, I feel that Ian went a step further in finding a good match for my property including giving me an idea as to the type of person and impression he got from the viewers - he wrote about them all in detail including if he just didn't get a good vibe from them - which in my opinion is as important as written references. The result was a like-minded female with similar interests moved into my property, and because she had similar interests I even felt comfortable leaving some of my more valuable possessions in the house eg piano, knowing that she would respect them and appreciate them, which she has.
Quarterly inspections are done, and the price for this service is amazingly good value, including the set-up (bearing in mind I did absolutely nothing). More importantly, I have had complete faith that my property is in good hands. I've heard some horror stories about renting flats, hence my initial hesitation, but the attention to detail by Ian and the time he spent giving me advice including advice on other issues related to being an overseas landlord and energy grants, was invaluable.
This is not a service you will get from other generic rental agents and I cannot recommend highly enough. Thanks very much. Angela

We have rented our flat in Glasgow since 2003 and until last year had been with the same letting agent throughout. We were reluctant to change as we thought they were all just as bad as each other. Due to a change of tenant last August, we cancelled the old agent, found Ian at Cityscape, and have been using him since September.
The difference between Cityscape and the old agent is already a million light years and we so wish we had got rid of them sooner. Its a pleasure to work with Ian - he is great - really efficient and very quickly has proven Cityscape to be reliable to both ourselves and our tenant (as we have commented to each other behind his back :) We have total trust in him which is really important as we've been overseas for many of the years we've been letting our flat. We cannot recommend him highly enough.
