Upon moving out, I repeatedly contacted them to release my deposit. Unfortunately, even after a month has passed, my deposit remains unreleased. Following persistent follow-ups, they informed me that they had hired a "sparkle clean" service and would be sending me an invoice for the cleaning expenses. Ironically, I had already hired a professional cleaner to ensure the property was left in impeccable condition before my departure. The house was in a cleaner state than when I first moved in. It is disheartening to note that despite my efforts and the clear state of the property, they continue to withhold my deposit. Their reluctance to return the deposit, coupled with their evasive actions, strongly suggests unethical practices. They are absolute scammers, and I strongly advise others to avoid engaging with them at any cost.... Read more

Zone Lettings acted as my agents for 13 years for a flat I let out in Glasgow. They were never less than totally professional, always responsive and ensured if any maintenance issues or cosmetic work was required it was done swiftly at a competitive price. I would wholeheartedly recommend Zone Lettings as a letting agent and they also acted for me as selling agents once I decided to sell the flat and that was an excellent decision too.... Read more

Randomly cancelled our application despite paying the deposit. Didn’t manage anything properly like telling us that there was a deadline 2 hours before the deadline. Attempts to steal the deposit for very petty reason, really rude and unprofessional staff. When we opened the case on safe deposit Scotland they waited until the last second to disagree, wasting around 40 days of our time, as my friend said there was no other reason for it than spite. Had property from them, we were told that viewing was not possible due to covid and had to pay deposit to confirm the property on the basis of photos, which we did, thinking it would okay. But when moved in the property was stinking badly, the wardrobes were full of rubbish, beds had dirty duvets still there. When complained we were told to bin this stuff and there was no apology for handing over property in a condition, As i worked abroad I lived in property only 3 nights out of few month, when left the propert they deducted £80 from deposit claiming for cleaning fee, which is rubbish, I would suggest people take photos when you move in and when you move out so you can compare the state you received property and handed over, so they don't scam out!! Review from Tenant: To be honest when I was viewing the flat I didn't get a good vibe from the property agent. He was rather rude to all viewers. However over the last four years of tenancy, Zone Letting was extremely professional and responsive. Any issue raised was dealt with in a short time. This company is so unprofessional,when i was living at there property, nothing was dealt with, consistent emails were sent to resolve issues, mainly mould in the property and broken windows, nothing was rectified. Avoid at all Costs they will take you for a ride and make you sign so many papers, as if its a Mortgage what a joke of a Company.... Read more

Terrible experience leaving the property. We were charged excessive amounts from our deposit for not cleaning the inside of cupboards to a high enough standard. The state of the property when moving in was appalling and we left the property far cleaner than the original inventory state. They over charged us on the final rent payment and we had to get that sent back to us. We were also informed that the property had parking which it did not, this was incredibly disappointing and proved their lack of knowledge of their properties.... Read more

Me and my flatmate rented a flat through Zone Letting for 8 months while studying at university. Zone were very helpful, professional and an all round lovely team during our stay at this property. They were quick to reply to emails, anytime we phoned they were helpful, and their maintenance guys first class when they came to fix any issues. Beware of this letting agents they look highly professional in extracting money from tenant deposit amount . They are charged 100 pound just for minor cleaning issues. And for every inspection they complain minor issues of the tenant in the flat. Very dangerous people to deal with and extarcting money from the tenant for minor issues..... Read more

Very irresponsible and poor service. I move from London to Glasgow soon, so I was interested in renting an apartment. I contacted Zone and arranged viewing, explaining that I’m going to visit Glasgow for one day ONLY because of this viewing. When I arrived and called an agent to make sure that viewing is still in force, she replied that she didn’t manage to agree on viewing with the landlord. And she didn’t even warn me in advance knowing that I’m going to take the flight! Highly don’t recommend to use the service of this agency.... Read more

I've recently acquired a rental property with them. This letting agency has thorough professionals, they are know what they do. Quite friendly, informative and kind bunch of people working in the Glasgow office. I've interacted with Ellie and Caroline so far and they are absolutely lovely, they were patient with my paperwork and proactively helped me with my lease. Even the property manager was a nice gentleman, I forgot his name though, they were quite considerate when I informed I was travelling between different cities when I visited Glasgow to view the property. All in all a very organised, friendly easy to work with crew at this Letting agency. I recommend you to have a look at their properties while in Glasgow, I'm sure they'll help you find a property of your choice ????.... Read more

Zone Letting has been a wonderful agency for the past 3,5 years that I rented with them. It was even one of the reason I was reluctant to change flats. Their service is impeccable, they are always ready to help your every need and they really go the extra mile for their tenants! I cannot even begin to describe how amazing Sasha and Caroline are, as well as Scott; they are always extremely polite and helpful! Rented a one bedroom flat from Zone letting for six months in Glasgow and I was very sad to leave my flat (but my job meant that I had to move). From the very start, they were quick to reply to my e-mails and quickly sorted out a viewing for me. At the viewing the person was very helpful on answering questions and was a much more positive experience than several other agencies whose flats I viewed. Even though they preferred a year tenancy, they were willing to talk to the landlord for me to get a six month contract due to the nature of my job. Within a matter of days I had all documents sent to me, with a copy of the inventory and contract which I could take a look at. Any questions which I had were answered promptly and in a friendly manner. During my stay, I had several issues such as the boiler timer not working and an issue with the lights. These were sorted out very quickly by the agency and had no issues whatsoever in helping me with any problems that I had. The people that they sent were very professional and flexible to my schedule. At the end of my tenancy, the final checkout took place quickly and deposit returned promptly with no issues whatsoever. I have only positive things to say about Zone Letting in Glasgow, and Ellie, Sasha and their team made being a tenant a stress free experience. Once I am back in Glasgow I will make it priority to look at their properties first.... Read more

These estate agents were unprofessional and tried to scam us into paying a deposit on a flat that was in bad condition (had loose electrical wires, dangerous light sockets and a hole in the wall) prior to making an agreement with us for this maintenance work to be carried out. We offered to pay once they could confirm that the work would be done and instead they retracted the agreement and leased the flat out to somebody else. Presumably they found a way to avoid carrying out any maintenance. As a landlord, I would avoid dealing with these people (who seemed to think that fixing unsafe electrical fittings was an unreasonable request) since they are not committed to looking after the properties that they let out.... Tried to schedule a viewing for a flat. Called them the day before to schedule, confirmed at 9:30AM, called them again at 11:30AM to ask for exact address and I was there at 12:00. Nobody showed up, I call them back at 12:10 and someone from the office tells me that they might be late because of traffic. I was with them for 4 years and would definitelly tell you to try to avoid them as much as possible. We had the main door broken for more than 4 months, with the safety issue that we ended having people staying in the stairs at night and most of the flats in the building were rented by them but they still weren´t able to solve any problem, they ended putting pressure for me to leave to increase the rent price of the flat... They try to charge always a cleaning charge, both when you leave and when you come in to all the tenants, and still the flat was a riot when we arrived, left it spotless and they still charged for the cleaning... Zone Letting Ltd is a dreadful letting agency. I certainly would not recommend this company to anyone and I'd advise those considering this agency not to discard my review or anyone else detailing their horrible ordeal with this company. I used Zone Letting for nearly 1.5 years and I was horrified to learn that they lack professsionalism and morals. When I immediately reported to the manager that an incident has occurred where a large group of thugs tried to break my front door down on numerous occasions and put fireworks through my letterbox, he didn't care and told me that he couldn't control the behaviour of the people in Glasgow. He also suggested that I wait almost a week for him to get back to the office to see him and discuss the issue. I found this extremely insensitive and odd as there are numerous staff in the office that should have been capable of dealing with issues in his absence. It was only when I exclaimed the urgency of the matter, my fears while living in the property and asked that extra security measures be made such as the fitting of an external security light and chain on the door, that he finally bothered to contact a member of staff in the office and have a security light and chain on the door fitted. Things got so bad while I was living at the property that I had to move out. Before this incident I had intentions to extend my lease a second time because I was extremely happy living there - it became my home. However, the way in which the matter was dealt with was disgraceful. I was repeatedly lied to and patronised. Additionally, when I explained to Gary (the manager) that I felt extremely intimidated by a certain member of his staff (Scott) and asked that he ensure that Scott never contacts me again, Gary ignored my request and had Scott contact me yet again. When I asked Gary why he had instructed Scott, a person who I found intimidating and menacing (and had made him aware of this) Gary aggressively asked me how receiving emails from Scott was a problem. After I moved out, Zone Letting attempted to find any excuse to not return all of my deposit back. When I moved in, the flat was given to me in a disgusting state - I can provide photos upon request. It was so bad, my mother and I had to thoroughly clean the property because it was disgusting and the surfaces, kitchen cupboards and bathroom had black dirt, mould and grease caked in. Despite this, I returned the property back in a much better state than it was given to me and the flat was impeccable when I left. However, Zone Letting decided to deduct £140 from my deposit to repaint a wall that didn't need to be painted and replace a key I had already reported as faulty shortly after I moved in. So yet again I repeat, Zone Letting is a dreadful company that lacks professionalism and is not worth getting involved with.... Read more
