We have been with Lewis Wadsworth for 16months, it was our great experience after a nightmare with another agents in Sheffield (EXX). Ian was the person who show us around and as well as did our check out with us which is really helpful. Not to forget mentioned about the staff in Lewis wadsworth, they are all very helpful when we got problem. But so far, we haven't got any problem in this 16months. We moved out is because we bought our new house and we had big family! By the time we plan to moved out, we got a bit nervous from the previous experience with others agency which we have been with them for nearly 5 years. As the previous agents came for inspection mostly every month and expect us to repair water leak, roof top leak from our own pocket. We even went for DPS dispute to get our money back which is a long disaster experience for me. So i did mentioned it to the staff Georgina from Lewis Wadsworth, she said we will get our chance to go back to do what we have missed if we did (&i'm sorry which we actually did), and the sales director Ian is very helpful too, pointing everything out for us to retidy it so we can get all our deposit back. I've been a tenant with L. W. for nearly 3 years now, once I'd signed my tenancy agreement I then saw how bad many of the reviews were so was a bit nervous the first time an issue was raised. Couldn't have had a better experience so far. Bar a mix up with contractors and some work getting left quite a while I've had zero problems with L. W. (though the issue was more to do with 3rd party and not the company itself) All the people in the office are lovely, friendly, chatty and helpful. Any concerns or bits of maintenance that have needed doing have almost always been sorted out quick sharp. Had a broken fridge and it was replaced the same day I called in about it. They've gone above and beyond in so many ways which is genuinely appreciated, particularly because things haven't been easy on a personal level at different points. Worst letting agents ever!
Don't expect anything to be easy with them or done quickly at all!
Barely ever sorted out any of the problems with our property even after being contacted via telephone and email multiple times!
Couldn't be bothered to do a deposit check each time a new tenant moved in!
Incompetent staff who are literally clueless and fail with basic communication skills between each other!
Tried charging us for 'missing furniture' that was literally in pictures they took of the property after we had vacated! (That one is genuinely laughable)
And finally they have made us jump through hoop after hoop in order to try and get our deposit back which is coming up to a month since we vacated the property!
This company and its staff are a joke! Stay away!... Read more

The landlady put us in an awkward position as she decided to sell the house and gave us 2 months notice to vacate but we still had 2 months left on the tenancy agreement. We made a very reasonable offer on the house as we knew the condition and the work required to modernise but it was declined. we found it very difficult to find a new house as no agency would keep a property for more than a couple of weeks, we suspect the landlady decided to sell to avoid carrying out certain costly repair work. If I could give this shower of ¢©÷¶ a negative review I would. They are happy to take your rent money but try to get them to fix anything then you have no hope. Had a broken back door for two month and all they did was screw some wood onto it. They may be good to their landlords but as a tenant you don't stand a chance. Avoid.... Read more

I can only speak for the application process as (fortunately) have not yet had to call in for any repairs. I have been with Lewis Wadsworth for 6 months and will be sure to update my review should I need repairs at any stage.
I found them incredibly helpful and personable during the application process. The lady I spoke with took great time to go over the contracts with me and make sure I understood everything I needed.
The only reason I am giving a star less is that they did let themselves into my home for an inspection without prior consent and without notifying me that it would be taking place in advance. This wasn't a disaster but it did feel like a bit of an invasion of privacy.... Read more

They have failed to fix several problems in our flat despite many phone calls and emails the worst is the damp and mould which I have posted a photo of. Another is our bathroom ceiling which is on the verge of collapsing and is currently only being held up by the light fitting. I keep getting the same response when I call, "we'll pass it onto the landlord" maybe it is his responsibility to make repairs but surely it is lewis wadsworths responsibility to ensure repairs have been carried out.
