PriceLynsey were recommended to myself and I would definitely recommend them to others. They were fantastic at auctioning my property . An extremely quick turn around of just over 3 weeks and the property was marketed , viewed and auctioned - (going for above my reserve price) . Nothing was too much for them. Richard is extremely knowledgeable. He was aware of my stressors of not knowing where to start and also me working long hours . He talked me through the full process, making me realise I had very little to do other than the legal side of finding a solicitor. Again I asked for advice re a solicitor who could act promptly and Richard was able to suggest one for me (again another stress taken from me) Richard kept me up to date on viewings that had taken place and really gave me confidence and a positive outlook throughout .He let me know when everything had been set up for the auction and contacted me post auction with the fantastic news of the sale. All I can say is a very big thank you for making the whole process so effortless for me. Excellent professional service received from PriceLinsey - initially at enquiry stage from Marcus Linsey surveyor. Then Lara Linsey surveyor surveyed 10 days later a private property we have an offer accepted on. She produced a very thorough 50+ page report the following day which included multiple useful photographs. As we were coming from a distance on that following day she went the extra mile in meeting us at the property prior to our second viewing and a gave us a pithy summary of her findings. I telephoned PriceLinsey to ask them about a property in their next auction. I asked them where their office was so I could visit to obtain a legal pack, and after some whispering between themselves was told their office was in the ‘Chesterfield area’ – as a company purporting to be property professionals I would have thought they would know where their own office was. On their website it is listed as Sheffield which leads me to wonder if they are genuine at all. They were then less than helpful when I enquired over the guide price and reserve, and there was a lack of professionalism over the whole encounter. Whoever I spoke with said the auctioneer would return my call to discuss the property I enquired over and a survey I potentially required, and yet several weeks later I am still waiting. I certainly will not be contacting them over their services again. - Updated 20/11/2023 - Thank you for your response Richard, but it is too little too late unfortunately, especially as you 'have no record of my enquiry' which is disappointing to say the least. There was considerable background noise when I telephoned almost as if the lady I spoke with was driving at the time, with her colleague whispering in the background. It seems from your response that nothing was done with my enquiry at all. On this basis I have no intention of contacting your company again. - Updated 24/11/2023 - It appears this firm have tried to suppress my review of their services, which just goes further to demonstrate that they are a firm with little professionalism or ethics. I wrongly thought contacting a new firm in the locality may provide me with a good service, particularly when I had asked for information over a property in their auction, and for advice on a survey. In terms of a response Richard, your company fell short from the moment you could not supply me with your office address to allow me to visit you to obtain a legal pack. You could not give me an address or an explanation. The second failing was when the auctioneer and surveyor did not return my call. This is either due to poor communication between your staff, or just poor communication in general. Very disappointing. - Updated 28/11/2023 - It seems this company keep trying to remove my review, as despite emails from google showing the my review has been viewed many times, it keeps disappearing from their listing. I thought google was an unbiased area to leave reviews of the service, or perhaps lack of service received from a particular business, but perhaps I am wrong and this company only seems to want to show its good reviews - which is understandable of course but maybe a little desperate. - Updated 30/11/2023 - I must confess I do not profess to know much at all about google and how it works, but what I do know is that my review has disappeared on more than one occasion, I am assuming from something you have done. I had confirmed that I would not be contacting your company again - my initial contact with your company was disappointing, and the results of my contact even more disappointing, so I am unsure as to why you think I would want to contact you to discuss - your company had its opportunity. Your company failed to provide me with an address, and you have still failed to provide your address at any given opportunity with each response. I provided my details for your surveyor to contact me, so you could have contacted me at any given opportunity but haven't. With respect if you think that a review is 'trying to disrupt' your business I think that says more about you. All I wanted to do was leave a review of the service I experienced, and I would have left it there had my review not been removed on two occasions.
