Liddle and Anderson have dealt with my recent separation and subsequent house conveyancing, they have been excellent throughout the process showing care and attention to detail that really matters in this sort of situation. Whenever I needed an answer they responded quickly and efficiently, always called back promptly if they were not available at the time. [ Note: this is long and intention, as I offer personal and business ] Willie MacRae (owner of the firm) is really an excellent lawyer, and someone I value as a personal friend. College buddy loyalty only goes so far, and I've had to turn down friends for jobs and it's hard. With finite services with measurable results it's easy to judge. I know of no-one in our extended circle who has NOT used Liddle and Anderson. Mum wanted to do some shuffling so I would end up owning their house while still alive, as I am an only child, not a simple conveyancing, rather one with complex terms. Even tying wills into it is not simple. I use a lot of fairly complex contract law at work, even drafting entire sections for content and allowing attorneys, and I do high end internet security myself, the details are remarkably similar in concept. I asked both to pay and what to sign, and he said you can't and nothing - Mrs C is my client not you, but will pay and sign. I said it without thinking hence I don't do my own lawyering, give or take speeding tickets. He told me he would hire a lawyer, and I was in consternation, but he pointed out "only a fool has himself for a lawyer". Further, I have never seen him angry, in a flap or anything like that. So, when you retain Liddle and Anderson you get a team led by an astute methodical person, who thinks of everything, etc. ... and is in high demand. In the last few years when I've been in Scotland and gone over for lunch in Bo'ness with he and his wife, and it's been 15-20 mins for a baked potato and Irn Bru. So where is Willie's wisdom? He's making a compromise ... he refuses to hire anything less than the best, like Google's infrastructure team, and when he can't hire the very best, he works harder personally to serve as many clients as he can, because as a kind upstanding member of the community, he wants everyone to have the very best, and that is not prideful, merely factual. In business as in personal business, I trust him completely. In my professional career I have hired some serious attorneys from time, notably George, Brothers, Kincaid and Horton, LP in Austin, Texas' legendary high end litigators. If that, it's convenient - from Dunferas. his presence and relationships a the federal courthouse. Doug Brothers is impressive, 6'5", 300 lbs, Stone Cold Steve Austin with a tie. I The only reason I was there was the extensive rights over the company's business. This was like hiring Arianna Grande for a kid's birthday party, intentional over the top. Liddle and Anderson bills out on average, Willie included, less than 5% of George and Brothers, LP, gets more done, is more inclusive - I followed Doug Brothers into the main 9th st courthouse. And if asked all this power of attorney stuff with Liddle and Anderson, I would have said "no your honor, please give Mr MacRae and his Liddle and Anderson firm the maximum, unlimited power of attorney under applicable law in case they need it, as I am busy and would prefer to do this. I spent eyewatering amounts of the insurance company on G&B without really caring, but I'd guess Doug's personal rate at over £5,000 an hour at today's rates. It's a lot of money for a wrestler with a bar card, but that was the point, and I got Doug personally by appealing to his vanity. Liddle and Anderson exists to serve the community at a tiny fraction of the cost. If I had to choose someone to practice under the laws of the State of Texas to save a company? This is the worst solicitor I've ever used Never answer there email and never call you back. They make a plan and never share it with you with any case!! I.e. Family disputes or divorce. Never give you information about over solitaires. They told me important documents ended up in there junk or spam email folder. I couldn't believe how unprofessional they were all about money. I think!! All I can say is run a mile!!!... Read more
