Warners made it much easier to sell my home than I imagined. They kept in touch with me about everything. Explained anything I wasn’t sure about. Very professional. So pleased I used them to sell my property. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.
Less than impressed overall. We approached Mov8 prior to lockdown to market our property. Very slick at this point and were offered 2 packages, a 'pay upfront' for a discount style, or pay after- we elected for the pay upfront option saving around £400. Lockdown then happened and we were quickly informed by Mov8 that they wouldn't be able to act whilst all this was going on which was very understandable and made us the offer that if we decided to remove the property, they would come to some kind of deal with us to remarket later on. Fast forward out of lockdown and our circumstances had changed, our mortgage for our new property had been revoked, work scenario had altered so we decided to take up the offer to take the house off the market and remarket later. Unfortunately Mov8 since changed the goal-posts and withdrew the initial offer and hit us with a further bill, although we had already effectively paid in full for the full estate agency fees. They were less than understanding and didn't show any empathy for individual circumstances and kept reciting their terns of business that they didn't owe us anything.
Used Dave at the Corstorphine branch recently for a new build flat purchase and he and the team were excellent. Made things very straightforward for me and communication was great. Would use them again.
My experience with Neilsons started of Great. Dealing with Dave he was very efficient and quick to respond thought the whole process. However there was an ongoing Roof replacement on the property I was purchasing . I had raised my concerns to be investigated more to ensure I didn't have to pay for the bill. Dave passed this onto another member of the team who after consulting with the sellers solicitor confirmed I didn't have to pay for the roof replacement. The day I moved into the property I got a letter stating that I had to pay for the remaining 2/3 of the roof replacement which was just over £2000. Apparently only 1/3 of the roof had been replaced which I feel should have been picked up. This experience left me feeling a bit let down by Neilsons however It wouldn't put me off solely using Dave.
