Seen a flat adverised on Rightmove and arranging the viewing with Minerva was a great experience, quick and efficient. However, things went downhill rapidly. The troubles started after I agreed to rent it and paid a holding fee. I never received a single phonecall to update me, I had to run around and chase the agent to ask whether the referencing has been completed, when can I move in, etc. Phone calls went unanswered and unreturned, emails the same for days on end. If I got a response after emailing again that was just excuses why I don't get a firm date of signing the contract and receiving the keys. Moreover, despite I never signed the contract and moved in, the property was taken off and Minerva was de-listed of Rightmove. About 3 weeks later I had enough and requested my deposit back. I received an apologetic email within minutes explaining how it was the landlord's fault and that the property would be ready within days. When I re-iterated that I don't want to do business with them any more I got a reply bordering on abusive, blaming me for my impatience. Even at this point, there was no contract emailed over or a time and date offered to sign it, just a vague promise that I kept hearing for 3 weeks already. Thankfully I got my holding deposit back so I didn't report Minerva to the police for being scammed. The experience caused a lot of stress and anxiety, as my move-out date was getting closer and closer but still no contract and no keys, just empty promises (if I got a response at all). DO NOT USE THIS “letting agents” very shifty company!!!!! This company Changed their name to CPM Glasgow and changed location without telling any of their tenants! You can find their new business on google still and read the awful reviews there too! We were tenants with this farce of a company up to today!! When we actually had a joiner contact us at our home because the owner wanted to get in touch! ( turns out this company has gone under, and still taking rent money!) STAY AWAY! They did not issue the owner with our details, or us with theirs. Very shifty company, have been battling for over two years for repairs. Thankfully the landlord is kicking them to the kerb!!!!!... Worst agency ever. Before I moved in to a lovely ground floor property in Houston, Renfrewshire, North st, I was assured things wrong within the property would be fixed. They weren’t. Dirty rumpled carpets and peeling Lino which was never replaced, a falling apart garden with health hazard broken slabs, the house wasn’t even cleaned before we moved in- it was absolutely manky! The flat was hoaching with mould that effectively caused respitory issues with me and my young daughter and was fobbed off being told it was condensation. It wasnt. Old electric storage heaters that cost a bomb to run, and single glazing with broken seals that blew a gale in- took me well over a year to get any of these things replaced, leaving me and my child effectively living in a freezer for 2 winters. A leaking freezer and washing machine that caused all the supporting wood to rot, which NOTHING was ever done about, holes in nearly every wall which I filled in myself, a broken shower that was never fixed, and things like mirrored wardrobe doors being broken and just removed but never replaced, a back door that wouldn’t even lock properly not bothering to be addressed until I kicked up hell so much that they simply had to fix some things. They started to paint the whole building and left it undone for 2 years- they still haven’t finished. Shoddy job, paint everywhere, ruining the whole look of the building! They just don’t care! These things may seem menial, but when you are assured things will be fixed, then move in to find the place is actually falling apart and no one will answer calls, phone back, reply to emails, then you are treated like a nuisance it really does show their utter lack of concern for tenants and their complete unprofessionalism, unless THEY wanted their money, of course. Because of the problems I had with this company I kept a note of EVERY phonecall, email, picture evidence of what went wrong in the flat, and any dates where things were meant to be fixed etc, and let me tell you, seek legal advice when dealing with these guys! I only ever improved on the place and did my best to make a home out of it. But they have now advertised it straight away, Charging even MORE and not even fixing the issues that I campaigned to get sorted for nearly two years. I pity anyone who falls into their trap and takes the place on. And don’t expect to get your deposit back either. The agency and landlord should be utterly ashamed of themselves for treating what could be such a beautiful little house so poorly and putting tenants through absolute HELL. I’m not the only tenant who has had problems- I have discovered that every tenant who took on that place had nothing but problems with them too- Luckily it is a small village and we were able to track each other down. Just shows how greedy and horrible this business is. I hope these cowboys get everything that they deserve for treating people the way they do, because when the day comes that everyone decides to put them in it, they more than likely won’t have a leg to stand on.... I would suggest all landlords and tenants check to see if their deposit has been put into a deposit scheme. I would avoid this 'management company' at all costs.... Read more

This is the mess my bathroom ceiling is at the moment I am not Connect customer but the flat above me are this has been months trying to contact anyone who directly deals with this is shocking Landlord has stated she will get her own contractors but noone has even been to see the damage and what is needed to repair no concern for other tenants in the building !... Connect managed a flat we rented last year in Battlefield Gardens, Glasgow. After being in the property for 4 months a Sheriffs Officer appeared at the door with an eviction notice as the owner had not being paying the mortgage. Our baby was 2 weeks old at the time and the eviction notice was for 2 weeks. You can imagine our distress and Connect did nothing to alleviate this. We received no guidance on our rights as tenants from Connect, we had to get our own legal advice and subsequently a solicitor to liaise with the owners Mortgage company to arrange a date we would voluntary vacate the property. All in all a horrible experience which brought us a great amount of stress and upset when we should have been entirely focused on our newborn baby. I understand from old neighbours that Connect have rented out the property again, I hope the new tenants have more luck than we did with them. Would avoid at all costs!... Read more
