We've lived in a property rented to us by Slater Hogg & Howison since 2018. Over this time we've trying to get damp and mould fixed but no joy. The people at Slater Hogg & Howison come to do a property inspection each time they photograph the damp and mould and say they'll get it fixed but don't. We've made countless complaints and raised the issues with the Property Ombudsman. A few weeks ago they sent out contractors to do a quote on fixing the black mould and damp, I'm heavily pregnant so would've liked the issues fixed before my baby is due to be born at the start of June but instead they've continually lied to us and now we've had sheriffs officers come to the door issuing an eviction notice to a heavily pregnant woman, no warning when my husband emailed for an updated on repairs on Monday, no email inadvance to say your landlord 'intends' to sell the property in July. We've been great tenants even though they've treated us badly, paid rent, each time we've had a property inspection they say how well we keep the place- and this is how they treat us. It's awful and extremely cruel. I do not recommend renting from them.... Read more
