Moore Allen and Innocent have provided a fantastic end-to-end service to me for both the sale of my property and the purchase of my new home. Mark and Teresa were brilliant, keeping me informed and liaising with all parties. The whole team were responsive and supportive, especially when things got a bit complicated. I have used MA&I three times now and I would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them to others.

Struggled to get viewings with Matt. Struggled to get responses from Matt and Teresa . Whilst purchasing with them. It really spoilt what should have been an exciting happy process. I was a focused purchaser. Had to repeatedly ring and speak to matts colleagues asking if he can please respond re making a viewing. Teresa is a bit more responsive but we experienced a fair bit of being ignored and unresponsiveness from her as well. Such a shame. Really spoilt the purchase for us. Towards the end of negotiations I am told a handful of other viewers are booked in several cash buyers (amazing!) . I upped my offer more than what I wanted to considering the amount of money the place needed, offer accepted, asked to view for second time and was told it’s not possible because it had been let out for a while. How come there were a handful of “viewings” that week as well yet I cannot view . I had previously seen and screenshot the fact the property had been let before I was told about the viewings from a handful of others the same week. I asked about this and never received a response . Amazing really . I pulled out of buying for several reasons. Since this I found something better for less money.

Absolutely hopeless, trying to blame the landlord as to why they can’t give us an answer on the property. Enquired about a further 4 properties and just get asked for my information and then two weeks later get an email to say it’s no longer available. Enquire about another property and 4 weeks on there still waiting to hear from the estate about viewings even though it’s not currently tenanted. Cannot call me to save their lives. The best bit of all though “we’re not going to be doing viewings past 4pm as it’s getting darker outside now” so when am I supposed to come to look at these properties? If you don’t want to rent these properties then maybe you should stop taking them on. God knows how bad you are at selling houses considering you can’t rent properties for love not money.

You get better customer service from the teenagers at McDonalds. Those of us enquiring about properties listed on their site must be disrupting them watching TikTok’s or something, because every engagement with them is like drawing blood from a stone. How the owners can ignore and over look their staffs horrendous attitude towards work blows my mind.

Shocking customer service. I was looking to rent a house with Moore Allen & Innocent, however communication is next to nothing. Viewed the property then gave them an occasional call every few days. Standard response "landlord did not get back to us always followed". Two weeks later let agreed on the website, no update via email or phone call whatsoever.

I contacted this Estate Agent ‘four’ times to arrange a viewing, 3 by their online platform & once via telephone, (to which I was notified I would receive a call).
Zero response, not even a courtesy call.. extremely unprofessional.
I’m now in the process of contacting the owner of the property themselves to inform them.

They are nice during your tenancy but terrible at the end of tenancy. No replies on emails when your asking a question, 2 months to return deposit, your clearly forgotten about as your no longer a source of income. And if you ring to speak to someone she is rude and talks down to you. Judging by other reviews this happens to most renters at the end of tenancy, for that reason I would avoid using them again.

For a company as large as this they have a absolutely terrible website. It's slow, clunky and most of the time doesn't work at all. They must be losing potential buyers who aren't able to access the information they require.
The service you receive on the phone isn't much better. They take a long time to call you back and emails containing information promised never seem to materialise.

He is the most supportive and helpful estate agent we’ve ever met. He chased and chased and pushed things through when it was most needed. Despite the short notice we gave Moore Allen, they moved incredibly quickly to photograph the house and get it onto their own website and on Rightmove and Prime Location. They generated a number of viewings within days and we very quickly had a very acceptable offer from a prospective tenant. The administration of the new tenancy agreement was quick and efficient. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other property owners.

We put our cottage on with Mark at Moore Allen in February of this year
We could not be happier with the service we received. Initial Feedback was given as requested over email pretty much straight after viewings and this was followed up with any further feedback from viewers over the next few days.
The girls in the office, Nicola, Teresa and Amy negotiated an asking price offer for us within a month and managed to get the whole chain of five through in under 3 months, including some hiccups from other parties along the way.
Will be giving Mark a call when we are looking to move to our next home!

Corners cut while you wait
My experience as a Moore Allen Innocent tenant was generally good. They let themselves down badly over their handling of the end of my tenancy. Once you cease to be a source of revenue for them, you cease to be worthy of much consideration, I suspect. Specifically:
1. Poor communication: it took almost three weeks after the end of my tenancy and multiple calls and emails to elicit *any* response at all from the relevant person. Some subsequent emails went unanswered. The code of conduct of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), their professional body, stipulates that members should ‘communicate promptly, regularly, politely and fairly’. They definitely fail on at least two out of four.
2. Lack of transparency over check-out process: ARLA code of conduct says: ‘The check-out should be down thoroughly and a sufficiently detailed report or summary prepared with specific reference back to the Inventory/Schedule of Condition prepared prior to the tenancy’. The Tenancy Deposit Scheme says of check-out reports that: ‘photographs are best used as an addition to, not a substitute for the written word’. Moore Allen Innocent did not produce a written check-out report and did not tell me they were not producing a written report until I asked to see it. All they sent was a zip files of some photographs. The value of a report lies in it being comparative (before and after). Photographs are not comparative. The agent and landlord decided between themselves that there would be no written report, presumably as a time- and cost-saving measure for them, suggesting the tenant has no role and no say, which is also contrary to the guidelines. Offering to produce a report weeks later (based on what? memories?) is no substitute for something produced properly at the time.
3. Lack of transparency over quotes: The code of conduct of the Association of Residential Letting Agents says that ‘quotes/receipts [should] provide a sufficiently detailed breakdown to clarify precisely what work is to be/was carried out in the property’. The Tenancy Deposit Scheme guidelines say that: ‘invoices/receipts/estimates/quotations’ should be ‘itemised fully to enable an accurate breakdown of the costs being charged’. Moore Allen Innocent initially provided back-of-an-envelope figures only: no named supplier, no formal quote, no quote breakdown. Subsequently they provided a breakdown, but no formal quote from an identifiable contractor. Seven weeks on, they have managed to produce only two out of four invoices despite repeated prompts.The quote for gardening work struck me as much higher than it ought to have been (though I did not dispute that there should be some deposit retention for this work), but while an agent is holding on to your deposit, there is a strong incentive to simply agree to what they propose in order to recover the balance of your deposit.
4. Slow repayment: in the days of almost instantaneous bank transfers it’s hard to understand why Moore Allen took almost two further weeks to make a deposit repayment following an almost three-week wait to hear anything from them at all. The Tenancy Deposit Scheme guidelines say ‘the landlord should return to the tenant any portion of the deposit that is not subject to a dispute, immediately’.
I would recommend prospective tenants to be cautious over all of the above, and I’d recommend Moore Allen Innocent work much harder to ensure that the end-of-tenancy process is significantly more open, transparent and professional.

I would not recommend them at all for renting a property. Incompetent staff, don't respond to emails/calls and don't carry out work that they said they would. Left without a working shower for weeks leading up to Xmas and only because of persistent daily calls was anything ever done about it. This week they sent a contractor to our house without any prior notification while I was out of the house, which left the dog in a distressed state when I got back. For a name with such a good reputation in the area I am completely shocked at the lack of service and competence having rented a house from them. I hope to find another property as soon as possible with a different letting agency.

I went there in Primary School and it was amazing!!! It was massive!!! And a cool fact I learned that the extension of the school cost just £5 and there was places where pupils from the grammar school had written there names and also the owner of the house told us this story that there were walnut trees outside and the boys that came to the school used to take them and eat them and then shove the outing under the floorboards and she was a very nice lady she is actually a grandmother to someone at the same school as me
