I used Cirencester Sales and Lettings both to let a property and subsequently sell it. I was happy with Michelle and her trusted team throughout both experiences which included the overseeing of the required repair and maintenance issues to get the property to an initial letting standard. They kept me informed at all times and responded swiftly to any issues that arose. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I've sat on this for a while, thinking time would soften my views. However I think for the benefit of those buying or selling a home, read this and make your own mind up. My partner and I booked a viewing a couple days in advance. The agent arrived 20 minutes late, after we called them to ask where they were. They tried to say we didn't have a viewing, before admitting that they had overheard a colleague on the phone, cancelling a viewing and assumed it was ours... They then offered a lackluster and tense viewing where they knew little to nothing about the property, which is currently showing as featured due to the inability to sell it. There are plenty of other people we've had viewings with and would recommend wholeheartedly such as CB SLADE, CANNON and PERRY BISHOP.

Fantastic and friendly estate agents, they couldn't be more helpful in finding me a last minute rental property. The team (especially Bev) did anything they could to help, including finding me a short term property in the interim of moving into my student let.
I have worked in Estate Agency and found many to be commission cowboys, this couldn't be further from the truth for these guys.

If you are a tenant escape from them!
I lived in a small house the carpet was old and stained when i moved in and the house wasn’t professionally cleaned( said only by voice obviously when they gave me the keys)! My cat damaged the hallway of the carpet and i said i was ok to pay the damage i have been asked 400 pound for 2 square meter of carpet! I damaged a socket with a wardrobe moving out and offered myself to replace it but they said I wasn’t allowed in the house again after the tenancy ended, so they decided to charge me 120 pound for a 1,05 pond socket! I lived in the mould for a year and the only solution they came up with was open the window and keep the heating higher! They just look after the landlord not the tenant! I recommend you all to stay away from them!

Some of the reviews here are from people going to view houses or putting their houses up for sale.
From a tenant’s perspective, please read an honest review below:
Cirencester Sales and Lettings will manage properties on behalf of a landlord, they’ll sometimes email you if your rent is late, although this sometimes gets confusing when you have paid your rent and they’ve for some reason decided to contact you anyway. They also will ask for a deposit of a month’s rent, this isn’t uncommon, although don’t expect to get much of this back as they’ll claim they need to hire in professional cleaners, painters, etc despite having inspected the property and it being “fine” the week prior.
But alas the incompetence stretches further. I woke up one morning to find two men in the house that had been given a key by them! They hadn’t even told me cleaners were coming over. Of course when asked about this they denied it, so we’re either left with a situation where the tenant was charged £50 for cleaning that never happened, or they gave some strangers a key to the house without telling anyone about it. One is fraud, the other is breach of contract.
The second housemate was led to believe if he replaced himself with a new tenant, he wouldn’t be charged an early release fee, makes sense right? No costs are incurred because someone else did all the hard work for you? But alas, he was charged £420. I spoke to the landlord recently about this who had no idea, and when he asked CS+L they apparently said the tenant was only charged rent. Fortunately the tenant has all of this on email and can prove it, but as I’m aware he’s just been ignored. Again, if the landlord is unaware of this, where did that £420 go!?
Another tenant was late in paying his rent because he had to leave the country to attend his mother’s funeral. They gave him a bad reference for his next property and was forced to take out three months rent in advance to make up for it.
These are just a handful of examples, I’m sure I can ask the former housemates for their testimonials too, so look out for them in other comments.
I once cracked my head open and spent several hours in theatre with 10 stitches, that was a more pleasant experience than dealing with this agent over the past couple of years.

Ciren Sales and Lettings are a team of ladies utterly on the ball and very good at what they do. In my experience they are very approachable, ridiculously efficient and the go to agent. They are led up by savvy Michelle but most of my dealings are with the adorable Tina.
They let my place out for short term lets and I know I can get on with other things without ever needing to be involved. In short they are very professional and capable.

IT IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH A LETTING AGENCY.
I have so many episode to justify the sentence above that is going to be 2h review and I dont have the time to do it.
Advices for landlords: try to find another letting agency because for a business point of view they make loose money.
Advices for tenants: do the picture of everything and report everything before the check in because they will challenge you every single defect of the room even if you find the room like that.

As soon as Jenna viewed our property to give a valuation, we felt immediately at ease and impressed with Jenna's knowledge of the market and warm and friendly manner.
After having two previous valuations that day, it was without a doubt that we wanted Cirencester Sales and Lettings to take on our property.
Our house was sold within a month during challenging market conditions and Jenna continued to work hard in the background, coordinating the sale and kept us up to date with every step of the process. Everyone at the office was just as helpful too and if Jenna was out of the office, Jenna's colleagues were still able to help as they also knew what stage the property sale was at.

As a tenant searching for a property I've found that most agents treat you with no care and little communication. Michelle at Cirencester Sales & Lettings was really great from first contacting them. She really worked to try and find us a property, and kept in touch throughout. We eventually found a house privately, however the service from the agents was great and far beyond any of the other agents in Cirencester that I contacted and registered with, none of them contacted me at all.

were do I start this lot are the worst people I have ever let with there team act all nice to get you in then try to make it hard for you by taking 6 weeks to fix hot water after just walking into my flat 3 times without telling me there coming about some smoking issue I don't smoke. so at first I was bit confused about this but after leaving the flat due to the poor upkeep this lot then made up lie after lie to keep my deposit .thay have even tried to bill me for my own blinds . so I have done some digging on you lot and after a chat to someone that used to work for this scamming bunch I was told there told to get then in and out as fast as you can. make up lies to get them out so we can charge more fees to the next victim of there scam. Get them in for 6 months charge them loads on fees fix nothing on time to try and get people to leave if not they just take up lies and you will be asked to leave so if I was you rent with someone else even my new landlord for another county had herd of this scamming lot very nice to your face but don't be fooled there a bunch of rats that lie with ease and rob people and do as little as they can to make your stay nice and easy .
