From my own experience the senior staff in this institution are such horrible people. They crush young people’s dreams that do not align with the schools ideology. If you have an individualistic mind and strong willed ambitious character you will be seen as a threat. In my case I was lucky enough to be more privileged. As I did not go the traditional route I was seen a threat, the school undermined me and discouraged me to persue my goals, Moreover a senior member of staff insinuated I do not have the intelligence to become a pilot. And justified my successful placement due to my parents being able to afford the fees. This was mentioned in a parents meeting. Which is ironic because as of today I have passed all My atpl exams. The ones that they said I would not be cable of passing. Also I was put on report for attending entrance exams for the flight school.... Read more

St Thomas more is a school which doesn’t help their students excel while in mainstream lessons teachers can blame you for things you haven’t done and if you report it other teachers will assume the teacher in the right without completely understanding the situation I have been picked on and bullied in this school in front of teachers which will refuse to do anything because they favour another student this drove me to attempt scuicide due to the online and in person harrasment when this was brought to the schools attention their advice was for me get off of social media and the students involved received no punishment except an assembly on bullying the school behaviour system is completely ridiculous as I am a child with special needs I sometimes find it difficult getting to school on time I was placed in the lsc (private area in the school outside of mainstream lessons) a place which teachers don’t come and students do not receive a proper education we just copy from a text book or repeat lessons we’ve done in the past this is to “incite students in there to leave the school” which is not right you have to stay there for another hour after school everyday to do hw even though teachers do not receive the hw it is designed as “a punishment for being here” everyday I leave school when it’s dark and alone teachers and students make me feel alienated and alone so everyday I dread coming to school I just stay in one class all day and for break play board games inside.it is repetitive and do not learn anything new if you end up getting back into mainstream lessons teachers will target you and try get you back in there you spend around a month in there if you are a model student... I had the distinct privilege of attending their Open evening as I am desirous of getting my son to get a place in a very good school. I must declare that their Open evening was the best I have ever attended. It was extremely well organised,there were activities every minute of the evening,students were well spoken,courteous and extremely helpful. I attended a speech by the Head and ten minutes into the speeches (Head boy/Head girl included) I got up and exited the hall.A teacher asked me why I was leaving and I told him,"I've seen enough,I love this school". Personally,I had seen enough,St.Thomas More had fulfilled my wishes,my son is enamoured by the school and its facilities and we are adamant that that is the school that best fits us as a family. Completely horrible i had to take my child out of this school because he was isolated and put in the lsc which is a private area within the school where they barely do work because they can not go to their mainstream lesson many students have reported feeling uncomfortable because teachers touch private parts of their body i have reported this to the police but because i have been in a mental institution they beleive that im making this up i feel sorry for the children that are currently being assaulted. This school should be shut down, to any kids that see this stay strong and come forward ????... Read more

This school is torture mentally and physically there are a lot of reasons for this such as: not enough mental support, not being able to go toilet in certain time periods, wrongly accusing and punishing students, not allowed phones for safety reasons, racial profiling, facial hair isn't allowed, not allowed cultural hair, you are forced to write lines when you are in trouble, overload everyone with homework, forcing us to pick certain subjects for gcse, shouting at people for little mistakes, ABUSING THEIR POWER!!!!... To began with most of the comments hear are written by the teachers of st Thomas more and or are over 1 years old but as a student currently going there and a person who's been in your very situation i know picking schools can be hard so id say that st Thomas school overally in strinkness wise is quite a profoundly good school other than the school slacks in a lot of places if i were in your shoes id list the pros and cons of the school that your want to go to or your child wants to go to and see wich has the most pros over cons hope i helped much love ??...
