One of the best moves i'v made as a landlord was to ask Move It Properties to start to manage my property in Ferndale. They found a tenant quickly, even before i'd completed on the property and it was a case of picking up the keys and handing them over to Louise the same day, who needs a special mention as she has been absolutely surperb. Nothing has been too much trouble for her and she has made such a good impression that Move It now have their 3rd property for me some 8 months later and i've literally had no void periods.
I was a little worried initially about their base location (Beddau Ponty) in relation to my properties Ferndale, New Tredegar, Aberdare, but having met Louise and exchanged many emails (answered quickly) and seeing how Louise deals with tenants and their meetings and with myself, I dont think, not being local has been a negative.. in fact. I dont think I could be any happier.
I've been with a few more well known, larger, more local firms thinking it would be better for me and the tenant, but the service from those has been nothing like that given by Move It Properties which has been far superior.
Kind regards Move It Team,
Ben Driscoll.... Read more

The team at MoveIt are efficient and friendly which is what I need as a landlord as I work away from home a lot and so need them to sort out issues as they arise. Things like Gas and Electric inspections and certificates are arranged efficiently and as a result I do not need to worry that they are not done. A good service by a great team.... Read more

We first engaged Tanya at Moveit Lettings & Sales in 2009 when we wanted to let out our 2 bedroom apartment.
We have now been with the company over 9 years and are very happy with the customer service levels and support provided by the team. There have been a number of improvements to the service over the years - from postal to electronic invoicing, added value advice and support for tenants and landlords.
Not living close by, we rely on the Moveit team to source local services and professionals for maintenance, and replacement of items which are required from time to time, for example, we recently needed to source and fit a new washer/dryer and update electrics to new standards. These tasks were completed within a few days by skilled electricians and maintenance staff, ensuring that the tenants were not disadvantaged and the old machine etc was disposed of appropriately.
Monthly statements etc are e-mailed, on time and are accurate. Monthly rental payments are received in our bank, on time.
Communication is prompt, in order to resolve any issues that may arise, for example with the building, tenants, management company etc – all as soon as possible.
Regular checks are made to ensure that the property and contents are being looked after and maintained by tenants, to standard.
Overall we are happy with the service provided and will continue to be clients, as long as we retain the property.
Fortunately, Moveit can also deal with sales, should that service be required.

Disappointed to read this company having a dig at my wife... if you read her review she isn't saying anything bad about the company at all.. just advising anyone to keep receipts for future reference. A mistake that we made should I add. However I need not say anymore as I am sure that intelligent people will easily work out the type of person they are dealing with by the standard reply to each review from the owner!... Read more

Just thank God I don't have to rent any longer and fortunate to have bought my own house. As above review suggest all landlords are out to make a quick buck these days.
We did resolve our disagreement eventually with this company and I received my money back and an apology after agreeing to remove my review.
Advice for future tennents keep all documentation as proof that you payed deposits or you may have a fight on your hands to get it back.... Read more

Just wanted to say how impressed I was with the service I received from these guys. I'm aware that I can be somewhat difficult to deal with at times as I don't work a normal 9-5 like most people. This wasn't a problem at all and they made it really easy for me. If anyone is looking for an agent to take care of their properties with minimal hassle then I can highly recommend Louise and the gang. Thanks Guys!... Read more

This review is aimed at prospective letters from Move It - like ourselves.
Firstly, some background. My family and I have never let off Move It, because we never got that far.
However our experience with trying to view properties has been unprofessional at best, and an absolute shambles at worst.
In the process of trying to view a single property, in the space of a week we were cancelled on; moved; and then finally informed that a property was not available as the "landlord had not been able to find a new property" but that when they did we were "welcome to view it then".
My complaint is particularly around the lack of organisation and communication. On the morning of one visit, we were informed by an agent that they could not make it due to illness early morning - and they had to cancel. By the time of the arranged viewing, my wife received a call asking where she was because the current tenant at the property was actually available to show her around. This is just one example of the miscommunications.
As a tenant it is hard enough to find decent properties that live up to the hefty rental market as it is; but certain Letting Agencies do not help, and have a primary focus on making as much capital as possible for the landlord, without any consideration for the prospective tenant. Move It is a classic example of a Letting Agent that exists to make a quick buck, at the expense of tenants who are genuinely trying to find a decent home.
I would recommend not letting with Move It, the other reviews on Google will elude to that - but even our experience of engaging with them was terrible. Imagine what it would be like if they were your "Managed Agent".... Read more

A terrible experience with these that almost left me and my two children homeless. It was only that we begged a different landlord to have his house that we weren't left out on the streets.
Also a direct debt was supposed to be set up by the woman from the company, but 4 months into our tenancy, we discovered our landlord hadn't received a penny!!
Be very careful... Read more

Moveit is a fantastic company so long as you don't have anything to do with them. Unfortunately our landlord moved letting agents and we were stuck with them. Perhaps fantastic is the wrong word, its simply amazing that a company with such ineptitude has continued to do business. Initially they appeared to be relatively benign. This was mainly due to the fact that there was no communication. Apart from simply taking too long to deal with issues, not returning phone calls and not checking messages we left. Unfortunately this appears to be quite typical of a lot of letting agencies. When it came to us handing in our notice, and the company actually being required to do something for their wages the cracks started to show. We were happily getting married the week we handed in our notice and the day after we were heading off on our honeymoon. Understandably they wanted to show people the property but for some reason lacked an important article they should have in their possession, a second set of keys. The landlord too didn't have these. An odd situation but I guess it happens. With the pending wedding, honeymoon and both me and my partner working long hours we agreed to let the agents pick the keys up and get a copy cut. We then started to receive aggressive phonecalls explaining we were in breach of our contract and they would charge us for a call out fee (£35) and a fee to copy the keys (£25). We tried to explain that this was unreasonable they were welcome to the keys but we simply didn't have the time. We were even told to give our keys to someone living in the same block of flats as us as they knew the person. I tried to explain I wasn't comfortable with this and they appeared to take this as a personal slight. the phonecalls and the text messages went on for 2 days, eventually my partner had to take unpaid leave to accommodate them. There was no level of apology for the inconvenience or even thanks for us going out of our way to help them do what they should have already done. They then wanted us to take photos of the property and send them to them so they could advertise the rental, again a job that wasn't ours to do. I complied and was told my pictures weren't good enough, again, no thanks! The next set of interactions was on our departure. We left and handed them the keys and were just glad to see the back of them. We had the odd call asking if the property has gas and where the meters were kept. Again I would of expected them to have this information. I asked about the bond and they said it would take six weeks and we would have it back. 6 weeks later I rang for more information and was told it was nothing to do with them that I should speak to the landlord. I asked for his details and low and behold, they didn't have them either. I eventually found them from an old communication and he told us to speak to the letting agent. This was already frustrating. My husband spoke with them asking for information and rather than try and find out what was going on, they hung up on us. That was the last we tried to communicate with them. Just so glad we didn't have to. Eventually we had our bond back and we were so glad to be rid of them. I just want other people to know the issues we faced as I doubt we are alone. As a letting company they didn't seem to have any information or details you would expect and they more importantly didn't have the desire to help us, the tennants or the landlord.... Read more
