What a bunch of time wasters! Viewed a property and made an application, chased them for a week, but Jessica from the Elgin branch kept delaying us and wanted to get more viewers and more applications processed to compete with us on the property (?!), eventually I emailed their boss, and then got an email back from them within 20 minutes to apologise and say they will now contact the landlord and get a reply for us that afternoon. Daniel from the Elgin branch kept getting facts wrong, said it was oil heating, while it was in fact central gas heating, and then said that during our second viewing on Friday he mentioned the Landlord in on holiday. The thing is- we never had a second viewing on a Friday, he just didn't remember who we were. Finally they emailed to say the landlord chose another applicant but they suggest to keep an eye on their website for more properties! Yeah, right, if I keep applying through this horrible agency I might find somewhere to rent in 20 years. Avoid if you can! I am also a home owner and will never use them as a landlord either. ... I have been using PHP for over 2 years to look after my rental properties and I have never been in the position to make a complaint about any of the services they provide. The full time job I do means that I need to have a letting agent that I can rely on and PHP fits the bill exactly. I would have no problem whatsoever in recommending PHP to anyone who was looking for a professional letting agent to take care of ALL aspects of maintaining property in the absence of the owner. They also have a substantial amount of professional tradesmen who have the ability to deal with any problem that may arise night or day, a very reassuring fact that I would point out when recommending a potential investor to PHP lettings.... HORRENDOUS! - Unhelpful, unreliable, unbelievable! I'm surprised they are still in business. We have been looking for a property to lease for 3 weeks, and despite them having several available, they have yet to return a phone call! Frequently no answer on phone line, agent pulled out of viewing, left to talk to the decorator! Daniel is particularly unhelpful bless him, he sounds like a 12 year old. Honestly it's like trying to get blood from a stone...'Eh, I don't know, I'll need to check and get back to you.' Never did. Overall I sympathise with anyone who chooses to use them to let your property, as it won't be a quick and painless affair! We certainly won't be using them to lease... Read more
