14th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.

So far so good.- 4th Jul 2024 (23 days ago)Having used the Elgin branch as my Letting Agent for the last 4 yrs I have always found them to be very efficient and professional and all staff members are very friendly and approachable. Having had some recent interactions with them I found that any queries I had were replied to in a timely manner.

30th Nov 2021 (2 years ago)I cannot recommend Liam and his team enough. Although I had an idea of what I wanted for my wedding ring, which did not seem much out of the ordinary, I was finding it difficult to find what I wanted in the usual places. eventually I found Liam's website and an example of what I had been thinking about already present. I was then able to book a one to one session to go over size and material as well as costs and timings at short notice (between lockdowns). This was followed up by another individual sit down with the team to ensure I was happy with the ring as it was being made to order for me. I was allowed see the digital mock-up, select the materials and everything else you might want. I was given advice on what combinations would work, how to care for the material and everything was carried out in a highly professional manner.

18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

They have maintained my buildings and all the tenants get on well with them. The rents have been increased fairly as well and especially Ismail who is very knowledgeable and a fantastic property professional.
5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
28th Jun 2024 (29 days ago)I booked a viewing on a house and on arrival was met by the agent who had his face in his mobile phone and didn’t even look up to acknowledge me. Even when I said hello he just gave an insincere “Hi” without even looking up. He then walked into the house leaving the door open which I assumed was a sign for me to follow on. House was on sale for 285k and he immediately informed me that it was worth 330k (it absolutely was not), continued to tell me very personal information about why the current occupant was selling (not relevant or any of my business). I was then told to have a look around while he continued to stand in the living room in his phone. Toilet was a mess (surely a basic rule for a viewing is to ensure it is semi-clean). For some reason we still made an offer but received no further contact from Hamish and found out the house has sold via Instagram. The most unprofessional experience I’ve encountered in 25 years of house hunting. If you like the look of one of their properties be prepared to be either ripped off or ignored.
