Former tenant of RPP, for more than 2 months I and my roommate have chased them to contact the deposit protection scheme so that we can get the return of out deposit, despite numerous conversations (including trying to tell me Richie Tramontana is not involved while his name is plastered all over the deposit protection account) they still have not done anything. They have tried passing the bills of a previous tenant (called Steven Scott) onto us rather than actually taking care of any outstanding issues with him. They challenged the meter readings we provided until we shared photos from the move out date (how much were they hoping to save here, this was just embarrassing). Now lets get to the tenancy, prior to moving in a 3rd party completed an inventory, the property had not been cleaned and had to be completed after we had moved in. They tried to say one had been completed, if it was it was to a very poor standard and was not reviewed by their staff. There was a number of items missed from the inventory for which photographs were provided, a lot, such as wall paper hanging from the ceiling, could really have been taken care of prior to us moving in. Throughout the year there were issues with the plumbing which they took weeks to fix, this was in between telling us that it "was just an old building with small pipes". If I am paying £50,000+ a year I expect to be able to flush my toilet without the water rising up to the top of the bowl, if I raise an issue with the landlord I don't expect it to take weeks to organise plumber visits (where nothing is fixed) before waiting even longer while they hum and haw about what work they want done. There were days we made ourselves available to be in the property for the plumber and nobody turned up with no prior communication from them that they had rerouted him somewhere else. The fact they have still failed to organise a response to the deposit protection scheme despite multiple reminders is not much of a surprise, I wouldn't trust them to organise a fart in a curry eating contest....
