Avoid at all costs for renting - great service from agency but the property management company Sequence Homes are a complete and utter disgrace. Had to chase to get my deposit back, then getting it back was equivalent to a Greek tragedy. They inexplicably have an 11-day process to return deposits. Behaved like a mafia - suggest to use other agencies.
Having dealt with numerous agents and being quite active in the market place, i must say Umed Sharifi, is one of the best agents i have come across. One of the most dedicated, persistent individuals, an expert in his field and someone who has assisted me for over a year now. I highly recommend him to anyone searching for properties in the W2 area.
The "service" received from Chestertons Hyde Park office is literally so bad it cannot conceivably be called a service.
An agreement was signed by both parties on a prospective sale agreeing to commission of 1.25%. The property was sold and Chestertons sent an invoice charging commission at 1.5%. When I refused to pay the difference, the South African sales manager Dylan James turned up at my house and literally tried to kick my front door in. My teenage daughter was inside and terrified. Mr James proceed to loiter at my front door for the best part of an hour - smoking cigarettes, shouting and threatening violence. Upon eventually returning to his office he called me and threated to employ heavy-handed debt collectors if I didn't cough up. I refused to pay a penny more than the rate agreed. Mr James eventually and ungracefully accepted.
This firm is arrogant, dishonest, and inefficient.
Mei Wang was very helpful and assisted us in finding our dream home. She responds very promptly to any queries we had and helped settled all the paperwork with no fuss at all.
Absolutely horrible experience which to be honest I didn’t expect from such a brand as Chestertons!!! We had 3 flats rent it through them and for all of them with any exception half of our security deposit was retained against the law and totally unjustified!!! We paid huge amount of rent for some 1 bed which basically were some converted studio without any support when have issue in the apartments. Therefore we give the flats back with notice because of this and without any reason in all properties half of our security deposit was held so pleas make sure you will not end up in the same position as looks like this is like a habit from what we observe.

UNPROFESSIONAL AND VERY POOR SERVICE
Extremely poor service from Complete Ltd: I paid during one year long the full rent of a flat which had a broken window which couldn’t be opened at all, preventing the access to our terrace! While I was promised at the beginning that it would be repaired before I moved in. I had a dozens of exchanges with them, barely any response from them and was finally told that it would be impossible to repair it!
Additionally to that, one of their agents came to introduce the flat to potential new tenants and thought it would be a good idea to open the faulty window! Of course, he couldn’t close it anymore and decided to leave the flat unattended with an opened window: first, anyone could have come in the flat and it was very dangerous; second, they couldn’t sort the situation quickly and I had to endure the cold and wind for two days in the middle of January. No need to say I never had compensation for that.
On top of that, when I exit the flat, I had a professional cleaning service, which I proved and they decided to charge me £60 without any good reasons … I contested it, notable mentioning that I have paid the full price of a flat that was not fully functional but they did not do any gesture.
I will never use Complete Ltd again, would strongly recommend anyone to NOT use them and will make sure to be very vocal about how poorly they manage the service for the flat.

We have been so impressed with the Portico team and their management of our WC1 apartment. Adam Green in particular never fails to go the extra mile with his considered service and expert judgement. He is super aware of both the market and the particular priorities that we have in letting our apartment, and he sets an excellent example for his team. Highly recommended and thanks Adam!

this is by far one of the worst agencies I have ever rented a flat from. overpriced, they didnt give me information on things about the flat, which cost me more money, they didnt tend to my maintenance issues and respond to me for about a month. I had toilet water all over my floor and they didnt even bother themselves to abide by the terms of the contract to fix this issue. I ended up paying for it and they still have not reimbursed me. they are so rude and accusatory... I've never in my life come across such a terrible agency... please do not rent from them, trust me
