I don’t know whether this place is still open. It is a hidden gem of Northampton. Step into a world of fantasy. It’s so cozy and the detail inside is absolutely delightful. Friendly staff. The food is beautiful. Love how the food was decorated and displayed. I bought cappuccino and had a mozzarella pesto sandwich, it came with salad and crisps. Good portions, very filling. The sandwich displayed in a basket like in red riding hood and an apple. The cafe interior is like escaping into one of Harry Potter books. Floating candles, jack and the beanstalk, Cinderella's shoe, careful you might end up in my novel sign. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Good value for money. I will definitely be coming here again. And there's parking outside. Don't forget to buy a ticket. I always find eating in a big city, can be intimidating and deciding where to go hard. If you love reading, this place is a great place to go and you'll fit in. It's retro and cool. Everyone please make sure you give the Magic Bean Emporium a chance. For someone like me who lives outside Northampton, this place is a real asset to Northampton. Keep up the great work!... Read more

This coffee shop is downstairs at Northampton railway station (AKA Castle station). It was previously located on St Giles Street. At time of my visit it had only just opened in its new location, so expect things to get even better. The coffee is fantastic, and I suspect all the other drinks are too.... Read more

Overpriced, bland and soggy toasted sandwich (£5.95 including a bag of crisps we did not ask for). No toilet. We could use the toilet of the kind neighbors (Bread and Butter) and felt sad we didn't just go there for lunch, much better options and cosier.... Read more

Harry potter themed cafe. Lots of varied hot and cold drinks such as milkshakes and coffees. They had some nice seasonal options such as pumpkin spice and creme brulee. A bit overpriced for what it is, but still a cute spot for coffee.... Read more

A lot of focus has gone into the theme, vibes, etc etc. The food and drink, however, are average and very pricey for the quality. They also run out of them pretty quickly and the variety isn’t that great either - which would have been fine if the quality was better. Moreover, our takeaway sandwich had a hair in it. My daughter and I visited Saturday afternoon and really expected to like this place, but we were sadly disappointed. The first problem was the room was very humid and this clearly affected the cakes which looked wilted. Nevertheless, I tried the peanut butter cheesecake which was just awful: the main part of the cake was too dry (ironically), while the peanuts on top were chewy! The cappuccino I had was good, but not great. My daughter had a milkshake which was good as well, but rather small. The place looks magical, but it seems it's just a facade.... Read more

A cute little place in desperate need of more customers! It has a great fantasy/Harry Potter theme for fans of the series. Great to see a selection of vegan food available. We had a pistachio, chive, and rosewater cake and a vegan 'sausage' roll. Would love to see more of these! Soya milk was available for coffees which was good to see as well. Not sure if extra was charged - hopefully not.... Read more

Looks nice from the outside however their opening hours are not as advertised. 9.30am and fully locked up with chairs on the tables. Went back 15 mins later and still closed. Not a good way to run a coffee shop "the morning drink". Went across the road to Dreams Coffee Lounge instead (who open at 8am, like a coffee shop should)... Read more
