Shame I’ve had to do this, Connells were an amazing agency while i lived with them (albeit the organisation of a fish). The downside here is the move out was terrible. It’s been over a month since I moved out, leaving the house immaculate (inventory reported 0 issues) yet it’s now approaching 6 weeks since I’ve moved out without any clarification on what’s happening with my deposit apart from they’re waiting on the landlord.. since 28 May! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Wiktoria at Connells. Despite my excitement about finding a new home, her unprofessionalism and lack of transparency left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a client.
I emailed Connells last month to request my home let report, which I believe is my right as a tenant. Shockingly, Wiktoria outright refused to provide me with the report, claiming that my referencing did not go through and I have to get in touch with Homelet but Homelet is refusing This was quite surprising, as I had not been informed of any issues during the application process, and I had no reason to believe that my referencing would be unsuccessful.
What bothered me most was the complete lack of communication and transparency throughout this ordeal. As a tenant, I understand the importance of knowing the outcome of my referencing. Denying me access to the report hindered my ability to make informed decisions about my tenancy, and I was left in the dark without a clear explanation for the refusal.
Professionalism and customer service should be paramount in the real estate industry, but Wiktoria's conduct did not reflect this. Instead of addressing my concerns with empathy and providing a clear explanation, she seemed indifferent to my frustration.
I sincerely hope that Connells takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve their services. As a potential customer, I expect better treatment and respect for my rights.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Wiktoria or Connells to others seeking a reliable and customer-oriented letting agency.

Viewing the property and moving in went very quickly. I saw the property on Saturday and had the keys by Friday. Very quick and efficient. The Lettings team went the extra mile to get me for the weekend. However I had doubts as on the Friday the final details had not been completed, which made me think the landlord had backed out of the deal. After a few persistent calls we were back on track and I was in by Friday.

My partner and I recently viewed and ultimately became tenants of a property with Connells Northampton. I have to say, from start to finish they’ve been very responsive, sensible, and proactive in helping us through the process of getting our paperwork through and our offer processed.
Each member of the Northampton branch we dealt with - especially Caitlin, as well as Makayla and Wiktoria, were all great. Our move in date was a very quick turnaround (we’re talking like.. a week from putting in an offer) and Caitlin and co. handled all of the admin very well to make sure everything was sorted in time. When we went to pick up the keys, Caitlin happily answered any questions we had, and Makayla went through some useful things for us to know like where the meters are in the property. All clearly keen to help!
One thing in particular I’d note personally: I was impressed that they understood how to handle things like gender neutral titles/inclusivity. That kind of thing is rare and unexpected in this sort of setting, so came as a real relief. For example, when entering our information into their referencing company’s database, Caitlin was proactive in requesting additions to the title options when mine wasn’t present, informed me and assured me it would be corrected for me once the paperwork was processed, and gave me the opportunity to say what’s the least uncomfortable option to use in the meantime. My partner also noted that Makayla was great at not assuming pronouns for me over the phone.
Might seem small to some, but to me it really meant a lot. And shows that they are really thinking about how to support all sorts of people.
To top it all off, once we had moved in, they sent us an email with a sign in to a special webpage/app for us to use to report any maintenance requests for the property, with a very well designed interface that’s easy to understand and use. And the digital home move assistant Tili that they also use, which helps you do things like get your utilities together, notify your council of address change, and gives you options on things like broadband for your area, was a really nice touch too.
Overall, our impression so far has been a refreshingly genuine and proactive estate agency, who clearly care about the customer/tenant experience. We’re now happily settled into our new home.

We went into the Wood Hill branch, made very welcome. Seen by Lee and he went through all their services. He arranged for Steve to value two properties and booked us an appointment with the mortgage adviser, very professional.
Seen by Steve, arrived promptly at the arranged time, he explained all the various selling options and advised which he felt would give the best return, but did not try and sort of pressure tactics. The houses were valued competitively.

Saw a property available for rent a week ago, so called them up the very same morning the property was posted to Rightmove. I was told they weren't allowed to arrange viewings yet, but they would call me back. Checked the property a couple of days later only to find it was now 'let agreed', so called them again and they apparently were 'not aware' of this change on the Rightmove website, was told again they would call me back. They still haven't called me back. I get it, they either made a mistake, or that property was reserved or something, but just tell me that, don't leave me hanging. Worst letting agency I've ever had any dealings with. Avoid.

Based on the Northampton branches - excellent service from beginning to end in the sale of my property. All the staff were very professional and approachable. Had rented a property from Connells. They was very quick in completing admin for me to secure the property however at the end of the tenancy trying to get the deposit back has been a nightmare. Left the property on the 24th August and am still waiting on the 9th October. Phones calls and emails have been ignored. Will never use these again.

Paul Jones spoke to me when I was looking at mortgage products for my son who was a first time buyer. My son is self-employed so it's a waiting game for a year before he can look at a mortgage due to financial accounts required.
5 months later we had decided to sell our house and had found another property which required us to look at our mortgage options. I work in the financial retail sectors and was was very familiar with what mortgage rates were on offer on the market. I had decided to contact Paul because I was very impressed in how he had dealt with my son who was looking for a mortgage some months ago.
Once Paul was aware of our needs he was tanacious in finding the right mortgage product for us . He contacted me regulary via phone and email and always kept us informed of the next steps.
This was not a straight forward mortgage application, as one party was self employed and the paperwork was not easy, however Paul made the whole process so flawless, I was sometimes pinching myself thinking
"Is this it".
I had a application done previously from one of the big banks and had decided not to proceed as the process was so difficult and long winded.
Paul, thank you for making our mortgage application such a pleasing experience and A Dream Come True as we now are the proud owners of a Beautiful Dream House we had always wanted. Will not talk about the renovations required......
For me , I knew I could have gone to a variety of mortgage brokers and we had enough calls once we had sold our house offering us a mortgage appointment.
For me Paul you stood out, patient, courteous, well informed, nothing was too much trouble for you and you did the right thing for your customer. You fulfilled a need and made it a dream come true.

I am a second time home owner. The first time I used another company for advice, after meeting with Rachel Marlow when I was selling that property, it proved to me that I was taken advantage of on my first purchase by this original company. (A very familiar story to most people I am sure!) Rachel takes the time (in fact several times over) to ensure that I understand every step of the process, and has always come back to me incredibly quickly if I have needed reassurance on anything. Our house buying journey; from first viewings, second viewings, mortgage meetings and finally completion was handled with extreme professionalism. Connells supported us through all the ups and downs of buying your first home. Rachel Marlow, our mortgage advisor, went above and beyond to ensure we were completely happy with the mortgage and had the best possible deal. Over the last few weeks we have been back to see Rachel for our re-mortgage and again she was friendly, helpful and made both our recent appointments such a joy. Rachel is always happy to answer the many questions we have and always makes sure we are fully aware and comfortable with the products we choose. This agency is the worst I ever dealt with. At the moment of moving into the house it was not ready. Inventory which was charged additionally is just waste of paper and my money, as it collected useless photos but room description does not match reality (two different rooms with identical description, which is just copped and pasted) and nothing says about broken bits, dust, spider webs and dog fur everywhere. During whole letting process we were supposed to force agent to do his job, such as contract and payments. Agency is focused just on getting commission and does not care about property quality. And also letting agreement was made about a month ago, but property is still available for viewings, today I phoned them to ask to remove property from web site. Their work is unprofessional, they are happy to take money and do nothing. I will avoid this scammers in the future.
