I would like to say that ive been in contact with wdh for the last 18 months with regards of on going issues regarding my bungalow from mould,dampness and water running down the wall's to furniture and fixings being ruined only to be told that there is nothing wrong with the property,they seem to send people at the wrong time regarding seeing the problem they only come out and do patching up of the job's.My health and the health of my husband and daughter is suffering from all the problems with the property but at wdh no one seems to be listening or bothered about that,it's as if we aren't a priority and that we are being pushed from pillar to post with no outcome all I want is somewhere decent to live without the problems.I would like somebody to just be in contact and actually listen to me instead of being fobbed off all the time.... WDH was completely useless with harassment from a neighbour that had went on for nearly 3 years almost every day (October 2019-May 2022) which I civilly and lawfully logged, recorded, rang up and reported repeatedly to WDH. Excessive heavy bassy music, extremely loud bangs and yelling as loud as the neighbour could possibly yell, dealing/taking to name some of the frequent incidents that me and my girlfriend were put through and witnessed, yet nothing was done by WDH to stop it. We had to move out to escape the situation as WDH did not want to take action on the tenant based on what we were being put through constantly. WDH refused us of any civil and lawful resolution. WDH left us to deal with the neighbour personally ourselves after saying that opening any more cases wouldn’t lead to any action against the offending neighbour. WDH then proceeded to threaten us with eviction as they wouldn’t take responsibility against the neighbour. WDH Estate officers will only worsen the situation and cause more stress by doing nothing and not enforce anything against antisocial behaviour, but instead will twist it and claim you are ‘going around in circles’ in their words when you don’t want to be deliberately harassed by an ASBO in his late 30’s/early 40’s on a regular basis. WDH will also mention petty incidents going on outside of your own that are in no relation to what extremely unsettling situation you experience. WDH will say and do anything they can to downplay how horrific the harassment is. WDH fail to take any action.... Read more

Very disappointed with WDH. We were offered a house 4 years ago which needed re modernising. I was not given a choice of how we would like any of the house including the kitchen due to them not having stock and using up old cupboards they had available. Fast forward to now I was super excited to receive a letter about new kitchens and was asked to pick choices, finally I would have a full kitchen like everyone else on the street that I’ve been able to choose. Nope they came today to tell me mine doesn’t need doing. Where is the equality? The kitchen is suitable for a single person not a family of 4 it’s tiny as they split it in half so they could bodge the job with the left over stock they had Available at the time. The lady that came pulled next doors blue prints up and agreed it was wrong as they had a full kitchen with a lot more cupboard space. Also when moving in I was promised a number of repairs that 4 years later have still not been completed. At the time covid was the excuse! We have never been in arrears, our bills are up to date so there is just no excuse for it really. It’s very shut up and put up basically knowing full well people have no other choice. I phoned several times to chase up repairs to no avail, I’ve now given up! As mentioned earlier this is very disappointing considering they prize themselves on giving equal opportunities and putting the tenant first. From my experience it’s quite the opposite.... Read more

Can't give it a 0 star they are the worst housing going some of the housing officers are rude some of the properties have damp in witch they wont sort out and I've had to re decoratedue to the damp coming through I've got black mold at the top of my window in the kitchen and I've been told to wash it off I have to climb on my worktop to clean my windows and I'm registered disabled as for washing the black mold off my kitchen window I'm not allowed near it I have emphysema and my daughter has asthma so it affects our chest I'm now going to give wdh receipts for all the paint nd wallpaper I'm having to buy and for cloths that we are having to replace due to the damp smell and mold from the damp on them if you owe them money they are on your back 24/7 but if they owe you money they take there time I am currently looking to rent a property with another housing association as wdh ate the worst housing going I'm going to contact my mp over the damp ect I also have noisey neighbours and you report them they don't give a toss we have even been threatened to have our cats taken for no reason they don't go out they are indoor cats only I've even got a video of one night from the previous Tennants that we had to call the police out for and you can hear them tapering him after they smashed the window to get in I'm still waiting for an apology from the guy that I reported them to after he called me a lier he'll will freeze over before I get one your on the housing list for years I wish I never accepted this property but never again will I rent one of there properties... Wakefield District Housing have not helped me and my wife very mutch if at all quiet the opposite when we phone about a problem In the house they seemed not interested thsts until we got someone's else involved to help And now problems we have with our neighbours ie problems they cause to us then they are not interested at all but then I get a phone call from WDH Saying a bit of fairy liquid hit there car when I cleaned our bin out and when I say to them it must have been a bit what hit the car as it was parked on the path outside my house the actual car the car is normally parked over the road and for some reason it was parked outside outside our house I didn't know it was there but the abuse I got from her then her husband boyfriend what ever they are while she was shouting at me he came out and offered me out for a fight when I ring you they don't do anything it's a week later when they report me I get a phone call why... 23/1/24 Been told apex across our roof is completely broken and needs replacing, god knows how long it’s been broken for because WDH do not maintain buildings just wait till they are completely broken. Still waiting for our roof to be fixed. In the mean time we have multiple rats living in our loft. Pest control coming round every few days to put down bait. 4 trays of bait is being ate by the rats within just 2 or 3 days! We’ve had pest control out 3 times now to put more poison down. Rats still alive. Until our roof is fixed rats will not die and keep multiplying! Just hope they don’t come into the kitchen again. Had rats for WEEKS now!! Edit 14/1/24 GOING TO WAKEFIELD EXPRESS HAD ENOUGH. Due to WDH incompetence of ignoring our multiple repair requests we ended up with a RAT IN THE KITCHEN at 1.30am. Multiple reports of holes in the roof and a boiler left unfilled where you can see brickwork and cobwebs. New boiler was fitted 10 months ago and has been left as pictured ever since! Reported scratching noises above bedroom over a week ago but was told pest control are busy at the moment so it led to it getting into the kitchen. No surprise with the amount of holes in our roof and in the kitchen. Absolutely disgusting, since we had a new boiler fitted it’s been left in this disgusting state as pictured. The external pest control worker was shocked to hear that our repairs have been ignored or jobs only half completed and that we reported the rat 10 days ago in the roof. SHOCKING, WDH NEEDS TO GET TAKEN TO COURT. 0 STARS. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. My boyfriend has been reporting a disrespect noisy neighbour for noise harassment since he moved in 2019 just before I met him.. nearly 3 years later constant complaints with evidence, logs, recordings nearly every day of loud bassy music and have recently been told there isn’t enough evidence to do anything. They did a noise agreement with the neighbour in which they made the neighbour agree to keep music to a certain level which we witnessed and we couldn’t even hear the music! Of course the neighbour didn’t stick to it. According to WDH that was apparently nothing official so what was the point exactly?!?! My boyfriend is sick of hearing his loud bassy music and his constant shouting day in and day out that my boyfriend has recently wanted to give him the same behaviour back as for years NO ONE has helped, it’s just been dismissed like it’s something we should just put up with. Now my boyfriend is being accused of going against the tenancy agreement and they are threatening us by mentioning about eviction!!! Even mentioning that we should perhaps look at other housing companies or think of alternative property. My boyfriend is the victim in all this. For the first year he ignored the music, constantly put headphones in, but he shouldn’t of had to do that!! If he doesn’t get help or support of course he will react! There’s only so much one person can take!! Mine and my boyfriends mental health is bad enough as it is and now we don’t feel safe in this property as everything is being twisted on us now. My dad worked for a housing association before and said that harassment and noise nuisance is taken extremely seriously. Not with this company, they go round in circles and never support or help. They don’t care about anyones mental health or wellbeing. We have been trying to move for a while now all this stress is making us SO Ill. WDH don’t care, what’s next you going to make us homeless? They'd rather have crackheads and heroin addicts living in their flats and houses rather than people what want to make a life out of themselves. The Primrose House tower block had fire safety work done (meant to be done in 3 to 6 month) but took 2 plus years. The WDH did nothing and also the staff doing the jobs (Nicola who works at Kiers) did nothing but harass the people living here. You can get kicked out for having a cat but they can't kick out the crack and heroin dealers/takers who bring in the country line dealers. Who evers in charge needs to be put into these houses to experience what we experience rather than doing nothing. Plus the staff at the WDH Hub and Homesearch are clueless young girls or boys who no nothing and probably live with their parents so after work they don't care about what goes on. They need to start hiring people to sort these problems out and kick out the people rather then letting them get away with it with their apparent "mental health" which is caused by their own dumb fault for smoking crack and heroin.... Not fit for purpose. No adherence to their own policy, rude operatives who lie to get you off the phone and treat you with absolute disdain for having the nerve to question them (quite narcissistic) - “4 weeks, no 8 weeks, no 10 weeks” - to be told by another organisation that it’s more like 18months to 2 years. A system that won’t hold itself to account, despite a waiting list of 27000 people and a backlog which to me points to gross incompetence in management. It’s an insult to the council’s health and wellbeing strategy and a total disgrace where the “housing first” models are concerned, which then impacts massively on wellbeing. I am sofa surfing due to incompetence, as my name was not added to a tenancy I was in, despite being told this was an “automatic process”, which left me with no protected rights to my own home. All I’ve had so far is excuses and a circular conversation about how it’s “not the advisors fault”, yet they aren’t forthcoming with where you can actually log a complaint that is treated seriously.... This is the worst housing association going they have you on a list for years and never acknowledge you and when they do they do pre assessments and still don’t offer you anywhere despite having medical problems and also been homeless you bid for properties and never offered any and instead they’d rather see you suffer hardship and when you make a complaint they send letters without an explanation and always blame someone else for their actions and all they do is make things worse for people it’s not about who needs rehousing or needs housing it’s all about who they want to house while people are out there suffering they don’t care one bit about anybodys needs instead of doing it in order people need to check the previous weeks results as this will prove it isn’t done in date order whatsoever as it clearly shows people in no priority bands been housed while people who are a priority aren’t acknowledged at all despite been a PRIORITY an absolute joke there’s nothing about choice either as they only show you property’s they want you to bid for not what or where you want to live so this needs looming into for a start aswell as their policies as it states something very different to how they operate... Where to start. I was registered homeless while heavily pregnant, was told I'm not a priority as I have somewhere to sleep (a sofa) was given a house 2 days before I gave birth. So had absolutely nothing and no money, didnt have chance to while 'living' on a sofa. On top of that, I've been getting harassed by a neighbour and have been tirelessly trying to get moved. Police have been involved, my doctor has been involved. Yet me and my daughter are still in this house near this horrible man. He is private rent so nothing will be done about him. I don't rent from this 'association' however rang to speak to someone regarding a relative that was in hospital to inform them of the situation as the rent may not be paid for a while.The "customer adviser" was very monotone and severely lacked any empathy. "I'll put a note on the account" isn't exactly what I wanted to hear. No reassurance given or any helpful advice. Not surprising that people take their own lives when having to deal with 'robots' like these. WDH, get your staff some proper training or seek out more suitable employees that have at least an ounce of customer care skills or empathy.... Read more

Just received a text with some in upper case saying don't ignore. This message if you have not already done so update your UC account on rent changes I said I did so on April 8th and got a message back saying landlord confirmed details women on phone said well some people have put them in too early and the e not gone through that's not clients fault you'd do. Them if they didn't let you know as the saying goes that I've turned round better early than never it's up to you to have your computer system set up to take it you know that if start of each year benefits go up rent goes up so it's your issue to deal with it be you on UC for job hunting or like me severly mentslly I'll you don't need the extra worry I've photoed my UC account I'd advise othedo likewise... 1. Since the begining of the tenancy we reported a big problem to WDH in regards to our street that belongs to WDH legally, but is abusively used by other tenants from a private house, from a different street, for private access, for regulary depositing their trash in front of our house and for antisocial behaviour. WDH said they have the right to do what they wish, we don't! WDH lied to us just to get us to sign the tenancy! 2. Reported then a problem with mold on a wall. WDH told us to call back in 4 weeks. :)))))) I didn't know that mold just magically disappears in a month! 3. Reported cracks in walls multiple places. WDH replied without seeing the walls, that is not a problem and we should accept it as it is because is not their duty to fix. But money for rent they take, yes? They hope that we will fix problems for them maybe, from our own money. 4. Every time the WDH employees cut the grass and bush in our area, are just doing it as a bad joke. It looks bad and my husband needs to clean 1 hour after they finish. I wish they just skip this house and leave my husband do it the right way! He tried to overtake me on a blind corner and since he couldn't see round it he only saw the car coming towards us only after he was halfway round the corner which then caused him to then start forcing me off the road and into a nearby wall luckily I swung out and hit the side of the van causing him to swerve away from me and just miss the oncoming car.... If your wanting to be housed by this discriminating housing association then I suggest you kiss their backsides because if you don't and you don't accept the disgusting attitude that they have towards you then you will never be acknowledged as they only like it when they can belittle people and make them feel intimidated . There just a joke no one knows how to do there job, they just painted inside the block of flats in pink not just pink 2 shades of pink when it was painted 6 months ago they like to waste money but I've reported damp/mold in my bedroom countless times drafty living room window condensation in between the pains of glass in my window they said its normal my window has no seal doesn't shut properly there no insulation in my main front wall where the mold is and many more problems they just want to ignore you about but if you don't pay your rent straight to court and they add 300 pounds on to you arrears which obviously helps you out a lot when you having money difficulties there a joke, And don't bother putting that notice on to say any problems ring this number you won't do anything about it anyway.... If anybody's looking at getting rehoused then I wouldn't come to this housing association that claims to be a choice based lettings .. They just fob you off and are always ignorant when you've asked them questions the only time they respond to you is to call you a racist and make false allegations towards you and basically victimise you . Instead of offering you housing that is shown what you ELIGIBLE for on their so called choice based lettings waiting list they don't just show you properties to bid on so they can ignore them despite you waiting years on a waiting list and then theres people that apply for housing as and when they want and they get it maybe if you tell lies on the application then they'll more then likely offer you somewhere but other then that their not bothered about your needs or situation even if you give them evidence of this they dont acknowledge it and blatantly ignore it because their not bothered how they treat or speak down their noses at people to them basically your off the bottom of their shoe and half of you that apply will basically be bidding for nothing specially if your face don't fit and they find it amusing to ignore you as well they must think their above the law . Disgusting with wdh I've had noise problems with my neighbour for 2 years reported it on numerous occasions to wdh, I even had the hoot team out at like 1 in morning to witness it, it starts back when they think they been good for s couple of months, reported them last year had sheets etc, only for me to get a letter saying it doesn't breech tenancy agreement so having loud music for 2 years straight till gone midnight having hoot team to witness it even one of the managers witness it one day yet it doesn't breech tenancy agreement what jokes, yet I got told if I didn't cut my hedge down to a good size which I can't afford as I'm a single parent it would breech my tenancy agreement it's laughable, my house is a disgrace really my walls need replasting that bad paint work is peeling off yet they don't do it their say, yet they done a full house at the end off my street, I've Been told my a painting and Decorating until the walls are replasted cracks are gone reappear if I decorate.. DO NOT TAKE ON A COMMERCIAL PROPERTY WITH THESE COWBOYS. the staff have zero clue what's going on around them. It's as though they have a whole department that just cross the t's then another dept that dots the i's. The simplist of tasks takes forever,having to be looked at by this person or that person.we wanted to put an exterior back door in where one had previously been, they sent (2) "engineers" out to see if it could be done, they say it could be done provided we get a structual surveyor and building control out because it wasnt big enough opening to put a door in and the existing lintel was too low! The opening was 1000mm x 2050 mm. Which is a standard exterior door size.building control looked at it, shook his head and called them idiots. They must have had a dodgy tape measure. Then there's their legal department which must be run by clowns! Theres no way these people have ever studied lawThey're absolutely shocking. If you do decide to take on a commercial with these, be warned that most legal firms charge more when it's wdh, that's because they know it'll be an uphill job simply because it's W.D.H. please take heed of this review because wdh are probably THE WORST COMPANY IV EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH.... Instead they block peoples email addresses and refuse to give people their information which is direct victimisation they just seem to think they can treat people like muck off their shoe ignore peoples complaints (YES THEY IGNORE YOUR COMPLAINTS) and once you make one about them they start punishing you for it . ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! I have had an ongoing issue with my neighbour for the past year, I have submitted numerous complaints as well as fitted CCTV at my property yet WDH say that can't do a thing to help! They are full of excuses and are not willing to help anyone in need. I have contacted Yvette Cooper about the complete and utter incompotence of these people and will contact the newpapers too if I have to! I was just on a phone call to WDH expressing my concerns about feeling threatened. I was made to feel like I was the one in the wrong! I was told that complaints have also been submitted about me but when I asked to discuss this I was told they couldnt tell me! My landlord has never received any complaints about me and I have never received one single letter of complaint from WDH! They are nothing but liars and I told them as much! They then hung up on me! DISGUSTING!!!! They dont care about helping anyone, they just fob you off and do more to support problem tenants and criminals than they do honest people! I fully believe the phone call was terminated because they know I have information on them which I could use against them. I am fuming!!! I am a private tenant and my landlord is a close friend, I am sure I would be the first to know should any complaints have been submitted against me! Would I recommend them? Not in a million years! I was top priority and was told by a wdh officer that i would be offered somewhere as i was high priority .But because i actually put a complaint in on behalf of my auntie they decided to basically punish and decide im not priority now . theyve ignored evidence of my current living situation and conditions and they have chosen to actually ignore this and rehouse people whos waited 3 months in band c which a none priority band and despite me being on their list for 12 years and was top priority in 2016 before they decided they wanted to punish me and blatantly victimise me . My dog has suffered toxic mold poisoning and lost alot of blood through this and i sent evidence of this but yet again they ignored this so i wrote an email asking why they have chosen to treat me in this way but was ignored . basically i am bidding on properties so they can give people who they like these properties . I wrote a complaint via email to wdh and told them i wasnt happy with the way i have been spoken to by the staff and with how they think they can treat people however they want . this wasnt ignore so i sought legal advice from the c.a.b and they said it was discrimination and i was being victimised by wdh . so i wrote another email telling them this only to recieve a letter dated 07/12/2017 basically accusing me of being a racist and that i have told wdh they have discriminated me and victimised me and also stated that anything i write basically will be ignored by wdh . so this is blatantly victimisation . Despite anything you tell them they are not bothered and wouldnt care if you had to live in a dustbin because they only seem to rehouse the people who basically kiss their backsides and whos faces fit and this is beyond a joke as it always seems to be their family and friends basically and this has come from a worker them selves ... wdh do not like been hit with the truth and when they are they start treating you like something off their shoes and they put the fones down on you and when you ring back they tell you if your ringing to complain then their putting the fone down . and choose to ignore any evidence you send them of your current situation and would much rather give housing to people who are in a none priority band and only wait 3 months .... wdh have done this to more then one member of my family and its disgusting when their questioned about this they dont reply and simply think their going to get away with it but they dont realise that people screenshot things and that cameras dont lie and blatantly think that nothing will be done about how they actually treat people how they do . and for them to blatantly lie on their website and state they dont discriminate people . if i remembet correctly one of their ex employees was actually discriminated for displaying a religous cross in his van . so this blatantly proves they tell lies . WDH = (We Don’t Help) that’s what we’ve found with them. They don’t HELP TO BUY! they have empty new houses on developments on the Help to Buy NEYH but only want families that will struggle to finance and purchase them. Families that can actually purchase a percentage are refused point blank. It’s a scam it shows if you can afford a deposit of 25% to 75% the remaining percentage is paid buy renting but that’s not enough for WE DONT HELP (WDH) they want to fleece each family for more rent percentage so refusing those who have been extremely lucky enough to get some inheritance to try and purchase a home finally are knocked back without an explanation. I have been a tenant for many years most of the time wdh have been ok, we had new neighbours move in about a year ago and did we know about it, loud music, swearing, banging, several dogs over the year with lots of barking with it, left for hours on end.....wow..... we did try and speak to them but with no luck, so we contacted wdh, i know they have to be impartial about these things but from day one we did get the feeling they sympathised with them as they would play the getting upset game....so really we haven't got anywhere with the issues and the noise continues, they do seem as though they can do what they want and are complains go on deaf ears........ WDH are not interested in the living conditions of their tenants I have had issues with damp and mould and even had fungi growing on the inside of my kitchen door for most of my 11 year tenancy. I've been taking legal action since January 2016 and WDH still haven't done much to prevent the issues from getting worse instead they blame 2 dogs for the amount of damp (they say condensation) due to the dogs breathing. They come out to your houses unannounced and demand to come in but when you ask for 20 minutes to get dressed etc they ask to come in and wait (which if I were female they wouldn't have dared ask to come in). WDH bully and victimise people and when you make a formal complaint they come out and blame you for it. WDH does not live up to its logo of 'improving lives' but instead tryst to make you feel worse and let you down.... Read more

i reported that my ceiling in my kitchen was leaking 4 to 5 months ago and that there was big mushroom things growing from were it was leaking ,they have bin out supposedly 5 times to seal the outhouse roof were its leaking from , its still leaking water down my kitchen walls and now my electrics are starting to go funny ( light switches not working ) or (turning lights on in different rooms ) . because its taken that long to repair the false wall whats the ceiling has bin leaking from has gone soggy and 2 big holes have appeared in my wall and now my kitchen has a funny smell and got loads of flies . i have emailed and reported this repair to many times know and i am thinking about paying someone to repair it out of my own pocket and billing WDH.. i have taken a total of 8 days holiday from work to wait in for this repair to be done and yes you guessed it i am still waiting like an idiot .and i am having to keep my 12 year old son and my 2 year old daughter out of kitchen due to there asthma. if you are after renting a propperty go private because WDH are crap and dont care one little bit . i have taken about 15 pics of the problem and will upload them soon as i can. its been nearly 6 weeks since i wrote this review and i am still waiting for my kitchen sides to be swapped as the have blown due to the leak not being found when it got originally reported and a cupboard to be replaced because its rotten due to the leak i was on about ......its sad in a way when u pay your rent on time and it takes roughly 6 months of emails and phone calls to get my issuses sorted ...iv noticed there is not any way i can upload pictures of the damage due to the leak on my property ,WDH you want to be ashamed i am thinking about buying the replacement cupboards and sides and paying a professional to replace these repairs and sending WDH the bill and i am in the process of wrighting a review to yvette cooper to explain how badly treated i feel that i have been treated and see if she can do something to stop a working class single dad being treated so badly ...
