Received a marketing leaflet through our door saying that WB&P have mainland buyers interested in a house in our road - drove overnight to Ventnor to double check this was a genuine buyer and was reassured by the agent in the office that this was the case. Only problem was, he said, thstthe people were abroad on a two week holiday so he would contact us once they returned to the UK. We have been let down by previous buyers and estate agents so explained that we were only interested in a genuine buyer as we had been let down so many times recently. Lo and behold, get a call from Watson bull and porter this morning trying to sell me a mortgage! The guy had no idea about what I was talking about when I explained that we were only interested in the "buyers" and did not need a mortgage... Grrr... Read more
