(OTHER AGENCIES £100 cheaper for same service )

I paid my money to secure a rental property and pay for my credit/reference checks, only for the landlord to pull out two weeks later, and after I had already given my months notice to move out of my existing home into this new one. Explaining the urgency of needing the £410 agency fees back, to now find a new property to live in, I was fobbed off with, ‘our system is down, we shall send a cheque in the post next week’. I then argued that business banking systems have various options and I want my money back this week as I’m homeless in two weeks due to your clients actions. I was told it would be processed the next day. However a week later still no money, and eventually it took me a month to get my money back. Complete disregard for my situation and Un professional. I’ve since looked at other agencies and for the same service the agency fees are £100 cheaper.
